I like the idea of dragging someone in there with me, there are quite a few people that I work with and around that are in similar situations. The only problem with coffee shops is that when I go to one, I feel... obligated to buy coffee.

I'm not taking on the extra work to be a team player, I'm taking on the extra work because it gives me facetime with VPs and executive level folks. I am currently able to get everything done, but balancing the extra projects with my normal activities is not easy and only recently did I start running into the problem

Don't forget to look at the cost of living index for where you are, and where you are offered a job! It often averages major metro areas, so it can be misleading if you plan on living on the dodgy side of town, but can make a huge difference.

I've actually tried to do this before. Being at the bottom of the proverbial food chain, and volunteering myself into an endless supply of projects (and subsequently meetings), I tried to block off time for me to actually DO my work but these would just get eaten up as soon as someone higher than me in the food chain

I like the ease of access to all of these chrome apps, but I can't help but feel we are going full circle. Back in my day, apps launched from the desktop were called "programs".

You were mostly right anyway =P Smart search is kind of a disappointing focal point. Not sure what you mean by columns though.

I like it, not sure it's worthy of a whole 'nother version number. While I will miss the green, I do like the minimalist UI, I like the new Notebooks layout, and navigation seems smoother.

haven't tried searching anything yet?

Now if only they would pop up randomly. "You've earned I Got Time for That! (spend at least 20 minutes looking at Lifehacker when you have a deadline within an hour from now)"

I didn't want to give it away for anyone born after 1987 (or really, 1982ish) =)

Great tip! Based on the article title, I was expecting a left, down, left, right, a, b, start at the cost register.

Yeah, I appreciate the info! Going out of town for the weekend and am putting the 'Do not call for any reason' auto reply, probably a good time to test it out.

Not sure if I want to praise you for pointing these things out, or damn you for the hole at the bottom of my bank account above steam's open mouth...

well, having a glitchy rom isn't really a concern as you can just flash a recovery. It's bricking that I'm really concerned about.

All great points. For number two, you can also use the tomatino timer method.

Work and home addresses have been a big part of Google's picture of you since Google Now was first introduced. However, they weren't always super easy to edit or even navigate to. With this update, every time you search for directions, one of the available cards will include your work and home addresses.

Any reports back on the stability of the de-skinned gs4s? That's my main concern with putting a ROM on my phone.

Scrolling while writing comments is key!

Looks like they are starting to add some of the Waze functionality (whom they purchased recently) like the traffic and having a set "home" and "work". I wonder how they load the traffic, whether it's user based (like waze) or if they get it from a DOT type source.

A much needed update. For some reason I have memories of the skype desktop client being... difficult to close as well. For the phone client, it was easy to log off before, I just uninstalled it.
