Hearing Tavi Gevinson plays a teacher also makes me feel old, but this made me feel even older:

I don’t know who the show is for, but most of the actor’s names (Jordan Alexander, Whitney Oak, Savannah Smith, Zion Moreno, Tavi Gevinson) sound more “Gossip Girl” than their character names.

This looks mortifying and I look forward to reading a review of the highlights. I love dramas about repressed Brits, and I cannot handle an American disrupting tea time with her unsightly emotions.

That Prince William pic is an actor? He really does look like Wills…

Portland has a pretty robust food scene, so I’m not at all surprised it was chosen. I think they’re more known for street food than high-end, but still. Def more of a foodie scene there than in nearby Seattle.

I worried about that as well. The Bessemer trust was assigned to the conservatorship after Britney raised concerns about her father. For them to back out and try to save their own asses just leaves her back where she started - under the sole control of her father. Sounds like there’s no one in her corner at all.

Matthew Lillard >>> skeet Ulrich anyway

So does this just make her even more isolated? I am so horrified reading all of this- like so many people I really thought she had a severe and persistent mental illness that impacted all aspects of her life. The more I read the less I believe that she has anything beyond trauma from her horribly abusive family and

We have no way of knowing how long she had this Howard job in her back pocket, but to me it looks like some amount of the threats of legal action, the re-submission of the tenure application, etc., were for the purpose of ultimately being able to reject UNC, rather than the other way around. In most cases I’d say this

My take on this remains: There’s a reason soap operas are some of the longest running television shows ever.

Quite sure Hulk time didn’t hurt Mark Ruffalo’s small movie/screen cred - Emmy win and all that. Sebastian Stan dissolves into roles, Gwenyth Paltrow forgets she’s in them, Anthony Mackie got Black Mirror, Altered Carbon, a few movies on top of Falcon/Captain America, Tessa Thompson keeps working it, Brie Lawson’s not

This is so fucking petty and misogynistic. I have been waiting more than a DECADE for Captain Marvel and Black Widow movies.

I was a little embarrassed for you when I saw those Blu e-cig ads, but I didn’t do interviews about it, Steve.

Who?

Many people like all three - serious fluffy boomboom - just at different times.

We need to stop the thought that big budget movie = bad. I’ve cried at MCU movies. I feel so much joy when I see Vin Diesel do something ridiculous with his car. If you had fun watching that movie, it can be considered good, even if it’s a Michael Bay movie.

The school? No. The administration? Maybe.

I see this kind of criticism between authors in the book world too, and I don’t get it. There’s a need for (and room for) all different kinds of content out there. Some people like fluff, some people like more serious media, some people like  things that go boom. Just make the kind of content you want to make and let

Two thoughts.

Why is everyone saying he “trusted” Logan? Logan never promised him a payout... there is nothing to trust.
