No one will live up to Sandoval’s vocals, but Kelly Clarkson did a decent cover at a live show some years back. It doesn’t match the almost dreamy quality of the original track, but I think Clarkson captures the wistfulness of the song while putting her on spin on it.

I think I may be attached to the original version too much to appreciate Miley’s cover. Her voice is fine, but I don’t like the shoutiness she brought to it. It ruins it for me. The original is masterful in its haunting melancholy, but this cover just sounds angry. Not that I don’t love a good angry rock song with

I’m all aboard the ebook train and have been for over a decade. There was a time in my life where I carried a literal suitcase of books with me on vacation because I liked to have plenty to choose from (this was obviously before checking baggage became so expensive!). It was fucking madness. Ebooks are liberating.

I’d love to know how this theorist thinks Trump’s body magically grows thinner by a mere face exchange.

Us Weekly is owned by the same parent company as the Enquirer so I’d say they even more than complicit.

I doubt that’s the motive here. The show ended on the Kardashians’ terms. E! would have let the show continue until the apocalypse if the family had been game.

He’s not gay, just British.

The Capitol police certainly are as well, fortunately. They have said they are officially categorizing him as a line of duty casualty.

“But they pale in comparison to the fact that five people are dead thanks to the Trump administration’s insistence that the November general election was rigged.”

we have no idea what the relationship between her husband and his brother is like (given the shit that Jared Kushner’s dad got up to, I wouldn’t be surprised if there’s not a lot of love lost)”

I don’t doubt that the Kardashian’s life would be destabilizing to someone with bipolar disorder, but let’s not overlook that Kanye’s own stardom and lifestyle is plenty shaky for someone struggling to stay stable.  Celebrity and mental illness are always a toxic combo.

Best of luck to the Kardashian-West clan, and I mean that sincerely. I grew up with a bipolar dad who I love very much but who was an incredibly volatile and frightening presence in my life for a good chunk of my childhood, so I have a ton of empathy for people navigating the mine field of how to treat their suffering

Man Bieber has some awful tattoos. As much as I hate them, he might look even weirder with them covered up. He looked like a creepy Ken doll by the end of the video.

It went beyond parties though. They toured the country and went on TV. Sure they occupied a much smaller niche than influencers enjoy today, but a lot of that likely has to do with the differences in tech between the early 90s and ‘10s that limited their reach. That Michael Alig himself wasn’t as famous as Richie

My guess is Rich was vague because he himself wasn’t sure how best to label Melendez. It’s hard to tell based on the pictures of him because the lighting and makeup vary his complexion a lot from picture to picture, but I would put Melendez closer to the brown than white camp.

nowadays this would barely make news.”

It depended. The money started rolling out within 3 weeks of the bill passing. According to my texts, it looks like I got mine April 15, which was just 19 days after the Bill passed on March 27.  But there was a ton of people who had their payment delayed to them by weeks or even months.  Most people who were already

I think he’s supposed to be more Super Space Hitler than Space Satan. I mean, their stories have him loading up the undesirables on planes, flying them to Earth and then burning them in volcanos. Kinda like packing Jews into trains to be taken to concentration camps and eventually burning them in ovens no?

I miss theaters so much I have to keep telling myself “no” every time I think about buying tickets to see WW84 as a Christmas present to myself even though I have HBOMAX and can watch it for free at home.

I’ve been kind of stunned by how many people have defended this, even some journalists I wouldn’t expect it from.  I get that they like him personally and respect his work, but I doubt people would be this forgiving of it had happened in the office and not over Zoom.  We’ve relaxed our standards a lot to accommodate
