WHOA who are you to assume that "depression" itself isn't a gendered term? Women get asked to smile more on the street than men, does that mean that women are actually more unhappy than men or that women seeming unhappy is more problematic than men seeming unhappy?

So it could be that case that women are more commonly

I have no evidence to back this up, but I also imagine around 40 is when women start to really, really feel the affects of aging. Or rather, to feel the of aging within a society that devalues women whom lack the capacity to 1) give the patriarchy a boner and 2) to procreate.

If anybody ever learned about the bildungsroman in college, it teaches that those stories that center around women almost always end in suicide or insanity because women can't just "find their place in [a man's] world." This just reminded me of that- so many of our favorite female authors met the same fate as their

I cross while driving past dead animals or cemeteries but since I am not Catholic have no idea how to cross correctly. I am so glad/relieved that somebody else has picked up this habit.

Does that baby not look extremely uncomfortable/like he had just been crying in the second picture?

My ex-boyfriend cut into one of my toes with his really long gnarly toe nails before bed one night. Long toe nails are a safety hazard. I forced him to cut them that night. I am mad just thinking about it. So gross.

You hit the nail on the head. Long finger nails are DISGUSTING on men. It makes my vagina hurt just thinking about it.

I've accidentally dated a hipster/musician type that SURPRISE turned out to be a Republican who was abhorrently politically ignorant but assured me he was "definitely friends with some gay/black people" and therefore was "totally not a homophobic/racist."

Maybe men can't differentiate between natural make-up and no make-up because a majority of women they encounter (real life & media) wear make-up.

Ohmygosh I love them without the make-up!

I'd give anything for an ass like that.

At least you recognized that gendered behaviors and thought processes could be the result of socialization and/or a biological-socialization feedback loop. Regardless, the point is that basing studies on gender stereotypes is problematic because the experiment, and therefore its resulting data, is biased.

WHOA I never thought about that! Want to die a little more than I did now.

I hardly ever wear make-up and I HAVE NEVER had a man come up and just offer "I can tell you aren't wearing make-up and I prefer that look." Men cannot tell (most of the time) if a woman is wearing make-up and will only remark upon this (in my experience) when you ask them directly about it. So I guess her project was

I wasn't claiming I'm an empath or something, I just felt personally uncomfortable because it appeared to me that she was subconsciously trying to cover herself.

I tried to watch the video again from a new perspective after reading this article but I had to stop 30 seconds in. I don't care WHAT the director says about the women having the power, they seem uncomfortable to me, particularly the brunette gal. It seems like they want to subconsciously cover their breasts

Worthy of an automatic recall vote if you ask me!

Whoa, could you please sound more pompous!? Why is it suddenly that if women receive oral it has to be followed up!? Oral sex can serve as both the beginning and/or the end of sexual activity. It's not like Tall Girl said "IF you eat me out THEN I will reciprocate." He said he WANTED to perform oral on her and she
