If we take the top 40 pre-orders found on vgcharts.com then we'll find that the Xbox One has 1,379,915 games pre-ordered while the Playstation 4 has 1,770,974 preordered.
In all actuality the numbers are probably the same:
Xbox got Lost Odyssey while Playstation got White Knight,
Xbox got Tales of Vesp while Playstation got Tales of Grac,
Xbox got Infinite Undiscovery while Playstation got Demon Souls.
And when Sony sends out a refurbished unit to replace a YLOD it counts that as a console sale.

The idea that the Playstation has more RPGs is just false and it's an idea that carries over from PS2 and the original Xbox.
