That’s a bit harsh.
That’s a bit harsh.
Ah yes the whataboutism. Look every fandom and group has its toxicity and it’s getting worse thanks to the Internet, but the Relasethesnydercut people and bots went too far and harassed everyone from the Sesame Street social media accounts to people who even made legitimate criticism of BvS or Snyder’s comments since…
Nevermind the fact if you use their argument in the inverse and imagine what an 80s gremlins animated prequel would have looked like it would’ve been some Rankin and Bass, saturday morning cartoon trash with a cast of never heard ofs. While we’re at it, B.D. Wong, while very talented, spent the better part of a decade…
What’s with this snarky ass article? Phoebe Cates and Hoyt Axton were both known performers at the time. Fast Times was before this for Christ’s sake. Corey Feldman did Friday the 13th the same year and launched a massive career for the next decade. Besides that, Gremlins merch still moves, Gremlins 2 is known enough…
The original movie had Pheobe Cates and Corey Feldman. While neither are big names now they certainly where when the movies came out. Also Howie Mandel voiced Gizmo. Your comment about actor clout doesn't quite add up
Somewhere on the planes of unreality where dead artists go, Kurosawa, Kubrick, Hitchcock, Wilder, and DeMille are having a good laugh at the idea of apologizing.
And they have enough memories to know you cannot let Wanda catch you on not playing your part.
I’m not knocking your intimate relationship(s), but my partner and I swap a lot more than sweat... worrying about germs on her skin would be pretty irrational.
They’re not that new. The whole Spiderverse thing goes back to the 90's animated series, and would have been expanded on - including a Victorian era Spider-Man fighting a Jack the Ripper Carnage - if Fox and Saban hadn’t cancelled the show to focus on Spider-Man 2000 or whatever it was. It just took Marvel years after…
terms like “insane,” “crazy,” and “nuts” should not be used in a derogatory way
Exactly. People with mental health problems don’t care about the usage of words like insane or crazy or whatever. The whole ‘ableist’ thing is just a bunch of rich white people trying to police language to ‘protect’ groups that never asked for any of this nor do they care.
I watched these episodes on the same day that AP Stylebook, the journalism Bible, put out a notice that terms like “insane,” “crazy,” and “nuts” should not be used in a derogatory way
That’s nuts
“I watched these episodes on the same day that AP Stylebook, the journalism Bible, put out a notice that terms like “insane,” “crazy,” and “nuts” should not be used in a derogatory way (they’re ableist against people with mental health issues, and it’s generally good practice to avoid them)“
Yes, that sounds more like it. I can’t understand though why they needed to use Excel at all. Surely it would be simpler (and quicker) to load the database directly from the CSV files? Also, why on earth is there no reconciliation process to ensure number of records in = number out.
Oh yeah let’s blame excel ... classic gizmodo anti ms clickbait

Woof, exactly. Excel is for analysis not for data storage. The error here is a PEBCAC error, (Problem Exists Between Chair and Computer) or a ID10T error. Also how could they not have files backed up on servers? Hell even a temp file might have existed briefly buried in windows.
Exactly — not really an Excel error, but an architectural/user issue.
Yeah, no idea where the Excel error is here. Clear hooman dumbness!
