Agreed. China is a potential threat to the US, but Trump and his administration are an existential threat to the US, especially considering how he’s managed to fool and con roughly half the country into believing his incredible and persistent lies. There is a big difference there, and that’s why Trump is more

You really hit the nail on the head here. They DO like that he mocked the disabled reporter and they want to be able to do it, too.

Also, this is not her “fault” but LOL Conway... Way of the Con, indeed.

If there is one thing we learned from the presidential debates, it’s that HRC is personally responsible for every bad thing that has happened in America for the last 30 years.

My mom also voted for Trump and we’ve had similar conversations. It’s incredible how little these people care about Trump’s pathological lying.

Every couple days, she’ll post something on social media about how her concern and compassion extends to conservatives/Trump voters and I genuinely, honestly do not get it.

I love that these people took all his ridiculous talk about bringing China to heel, crushing ISIS in like 24 hours - no fuss, no muss, bringing back 1950s-style manufacturing jobs despite the existence of automation, and building The Wall(TM) literally but completely shrugged off the many things he promised he’d do

Yep — This is what you voted for, my friends. Enjoy!

This is wonderful XD

I feel the same way. I feel sorry for the people who voted against him but will lose their benefits, but those voted for him despite their need of these programs all I have to say is: “HAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHA Enjoy!”

True. Trump and his team are masters of lying and gas lighting, but we don’t have to give them the payoff/reactions they want.

Except I’m not arguing we need to be “nicer.” I’m arguing we need to be strategic in how we resist this fucking guy and his administration. That is, unless ultimately we want to accept the idea that resistance is futile because he will always, forever, invariably win (and hey, maybe that is the case).

I was actually telling my friend the other day that the only member of the Trump family I have slight respect for is Melania because clearly she wants as little to do with this whole nonsense of a presidency as humanly possible.

I think where we disagree is here: “They are absolutely counting on people like you, good people who are reasonable and kind, to defend their right to be manipulative.” I would instead argue that: “They are absolutely counting on angry liberals to take their bait and help make their point for them.”

I’m sure it felt SO GOOD to call her out and watch her squirm, but ugh... SO counterproductive. And the fact that her kids were present will only make the right-wing media foam at the mouth more over this.

I don’t feel sorry for her, but in my opinion it’s counterproductive for liberals to do this kind of thing. I wrote this up above, but I think things like this only reinforce Trump’s message of victimization. In his narrative, he paints himself and his followers as the victims of the liberal elite, who demand

That is 100% what will happen. I’d be shocked if this isn’t the centerpiece of Bill O’Reilly’s Talking Points Memo tonight, honestly.

Unfortunately, nothing will convince people who believes that running a country is the same as running a business that it is, in fact, nothing like that.

YES we (or, at least, some of us) do! It’s a great song.

My mom met Kanye a few years ago (work-related meeting). Anyway, she said that not only didn’t he shake her hand or greet her in any way, he also had that face on THE ENTIRE TIME.
