Except I’m not arguing we need to be “nicer.” I’m arguing we need to be strategic in how we resist this fucking guy and his administration. I was actually telling my friend the other day that the only member of the Trump family I have slight respect for is Melania because clearly she wants as little to do with this whole nonsense of a presidency as humanly possible.

I think where we disagree is here: “They are absolutely counting on people like you, good people who are reasonable and kind, to defend their right to be manipulative.” I would instead argue that: “They are absolutely counting on angry liberals to take their bait and help make their point for them.”
