Well, for one, there's a whole range of skin tones among people who are considered "white", some are darker than others. Not everyone who tans is necessarily aiming for a dark brown tone.

That's true sometimes. Though part of the reason for my objective is there are obviously black women with those features who are considered attractive and there are white women who naturally have some or all of those features.

Only when you look at the actual SCIENCE, these things affect your hormone legels internally. Assuming large/power poses decreases cortisol (a stress hormone) and increases testosterone measurably in both men and women. The opposite happens with submissive positions.
Those things are not opposite. They reinforce each other.
This article and the results of these studies are not suggesting that taking up more space on a bench makes you more powerful. They are suggesting that it makes one *feel* more powerful.
In a way this is also somewhat tied with eating disorders or BDB, a hyper-awareness of the space one's body takes up, reducing one's size to become invisible, or even repel the opposite sex. It's just an extension of how a woman understands and controls her body to conform or, conversely, transgress.

I understand and appreciate your point, but would like to offer a different view. We all experienced the awful events of that day in our own lives, and all of us were changed. The world changed that day. Moving forward, concepts of travel, of privacy, everything turned into something darker and less carefree.
