Angel-era Wesley is my favorite character arc ever, hands-down. Also, it was so beautiful to see Alexis & Amy as Benedick & Beatrice in Joss’ Much Ado... bittersweet in a way that is only available to experience if you’ve already seen all of Angel.

Sigh. This makes me as fake nostalgic/sad as that guy who perfectly rewrote the first three Star Wars movies to make them, y’know, actually good.
It’s amazing how often pejoratives end up being taken as badges of honor by the people they’re levied against.
You know, for a split second I was all set to open a dictionary to prove you wrong... :D
I just finished catching up on books I missed, and really can’t believe it took me so long... the Farseer trilogy by Robin Hobb. Hot damn, those were some great reads. That’s an author who knows her stuff.
My first one was ‘Use of Weapons’. After that I read ‘Consider Phlebas’ and rather enjoyed it, although I haven’t pursued The Culture further as of yet.
Excitement and skepticism war within me like the two sides of the Force. I'm not sure which is which.
My wife and I got married outside, in a public space. My mother (a JP) officiated. The guest list was parents, a couple of grandparents, and our closest friends. Music was provided by my brother and an acoustic guitar.
Given a programmable version of that gauntlet (with two bars whose values I can set individually) I would buy it just to wear to my weekly gaming night. A poppable D20 roller on my arm is exactly what I need!
Mulan is still one of my favorite Disney movies, and most of it is the strength of the acting. Donny Osmond, Ming-Na Wen, Eddie Murphy. Even the guy that plays Chi Fu, because I recognize him every time he shows up in another place as the 'snooty monk' (A:tLA for example).
DRA-GON, not lizard. I don't do that tongue thing.
In fact, if you find a problem which can't be solved with nuclear bombs, then you're simply not applying enough kilotons!
Augh, my eyes... x.x
True! Eventually, theoretically, the chance of your survival will descend to actual zero, instead of infinitesimally small. Unfortunately, there's no way to put a pin on exactly where that might be, but it's probably somewhere around the time when the universe expands to the point where the actual atoms that make up…
Right, and this is where we kind of have to step out of physics (well, sort of) and move into philosophy, because then we start talking about identity and what it means to be conscious. The above interpretation is of course based on the idea that we are all simply flesh-and-blood beings and consciousness is an…
Thanks, I'll check it out! =)
Yes, but the probability of that universe occurring is infinitely smaller than the one where only you survive eternally, because every other living thing also has a chance to die at any given moment. So, while that one does theoretically exist, you'll never see it because the probability of it is so small that it…
See, to me, quantum immortality looked pretty neat at first. Oh hey, if there's always a chance, no matter how small, that I won't die—then I won't. Ever. Cool, right?
Frank Jones, US Congressman, mayor of Portsmouth, NH for two years and one of the most successful businessmen in the state's history. Now mostly forgotten, except for some ruins on the outskirts of town and a couple of small venues bearing his name, despite the fact that he made Portsmouth, NH the center of a brewing…
Don't worry—it will be mostly CG.
