That was the point we ended up making to my brother and his friend, who did tend to play Chaotic/insane kinds of "evil". When my DM and I took up the mantles of 'evil', he played a highly intelligent but psychopathic wizard and I played a corrupt and amoral inquisitor/cleric (ostensibly serving a Good deity, but in…
I think it is probably my #1 favorite short film ever, even though I can hardly bear to watch it. Simply beautiful and profoundly moving, exactly like a killer short story should be.
Well, we were teenagers at the time, so yeah.
Point me to an example of "good drow done well" that is not Drizzt Do'Urden, and I will concede the point.
When we were younger, my brother and his friend really liked making 'evil' characters.
I've never been a big pre-made setting guy, which has always side-stepped the whole issue for me. The one time I reluctantly allowed a good-aligned Drow in my campaign, I had my revenge later when the party decided to set off explosives in a 10x10 foot corridor. Then we had Drow salsa.
Also a good point. I'm more than happy to see more and varied stories set in the Walking Dead world. No need to attempt to adapt another that's already been told when there are other stories to tell.
Nah, this story is already perfectly told. Adapting it to TV would just f*** it up.
"...the Forgotten Realms emo version of Wolverine..."
Yeah, that's the one. Dammit.
"Those clowns in Congress did it again. What a bunch of clowns."
Very nice visuals, strong storytelling, uncompromising. Didn't hit me quite as strongly as other shorts with similar endings, but still, very strong effort. Solid 'A' work.

I love this song.
This is one of my top 3 character arcs in all of fiction, in any genre, in any medium, ever. Right up there with Miles Vorkosigan and Londo/G'Kar.
Just the very phrase "believe in evolution" makes me twitchy. It makes it sound like some pie-in-the-sky crackpot theory instead of the fundamental process for the continuing development of all known life.
True, but even when things crossed over with the rest of the Federation, you could see the difference.
The fact that Tasha Yar and her rather disturbing backstory were cut from the show early on is only more evidence for my crackpot theory that TNG is Federation propaganda. Look! We're peaceful explorers! Look, we have a Klingon on board! Look at the wonderful diversity and everyone getting along and aren't we just…
Oh, a sarcasm detector. That's really useful.
