Ah, that explains it. My 2.5 bed/1 bath in not-exactly-prime-country NH was 175k, 20% down through some finagling brought it to ~850 mortgage + ~350 in taxes/mo. No income or sales tax here, so the state takes everything through the property tax.

Random question... where in creation do you live that a mortgage + taxes is $400/mo?

Yes. I have been searching my brain for this example. Thank you.

That's why devils are classified as Lawful Evil in the D&D settings... they should be. Demons can be rampaging embodiments of chaos, but it takes a certain level of class and deceit to be a devil. =)

I thought it must be because of Christopher Lee, but apparently they haven't been in a film together since 1993. I just automatically went Christopher Lee -> Dooku -> Saruman -> Gandalf -> Magneto -> Professor-X -> Picard -> Patrick Stewart without hardly a thought in between. Realizing that is... kind of weird,

Why was Patrick Stewart manning the Alderaan flight control room? O.o Seems like a waste of his talents.

Well, an alien or perhaps a genetically engineered superman. There's not that much difference, when you think about it =)

It could be the brain sending out a mass of signals to see if something in the body can be jump-started. Like an SOS.

I suppose it could be argued that this is not sci-fi/fantasy.

I had this vision of The Hobbit 2 after walking out of the theater for STiD:

Among the best character development in all of sci-fi. If there's one reason you could never reboot Babylon 5, it's for the lack of these two amazing men/aliens. Manaliens?

That thing is terrifying. O.O

The same thing occurred to me, and as far as I know, Michael J. Fox is not one of the Sheen/Estevez clan... unless there are some pretty big secrets floating around Hollywood.

Yeah, that line about the prayer got me too, even though Thane was only ever a minor player for my femShep. I can only imagine what it was like for his really rabid fans.

Ohgod, why did you have to remind me of that...? I'd just gotten done putting it OUT of my head!! >:/

I like 'sapients', myself. I think it communicates the intent with only marginal room for misinterpretation.

I do it all the time. I add anywhere between 10 and 20 minutes to my commute on occasion just to feel the road moving, and it's fine with me.

My god. This is... amazing. My life is now just a little bit more complete than it was three minutes ago. Thank you.

These animations are pretty amazing. One might even call them... breathtaking. ::sunglasses::
