Kojima himself said on Twitter this game was limited for current gen, and released on next gen to give players a taste of what a next gen MGS will be like.
Being entirely honest, I didn't really see a great difference between X Box 360 and X Box One, but I think there's a marked difference between PS3 and PS4, nothing extreme, but enough that I'll be buying it for PS4.

I genuinely don't know most of the characters you just mentioned are. And I deplore XII and XIII and less so X. But I do remember X's characters, as dull as they were.

Great news. I love my Wii U, and in still glad I got it over a PS4 at Christmas. Because there's nothing I wanted for the PS4. Whereas the Wii U has gave me endless fun so far.
