Yeah, I was looking for the homebrew thread. All this thing does is cost me money. Gotta buy beer to drink while I'm waiting on a batch to age up. On the whole, because I don't drink, you know, Bud, Coors, etc., my batches end up costing less than the same style from a craft brewer. But I dunno if that means I'm sa

It's not on the list because the company's not well known outside of a couple of states in the Midwest, but my dad purchased this incredible rig called The Good One. It's not the best direct griller in the world but, for smoking, I've never seen anything perform better.

The words I'm referring to are the ones where you infer the article is stating that a person who spent 8 weeks learning to code in Python automatically means said individual believes they are ready for hire.

"Marcos, as someone who's been in the field for 15 years, do you hire people who have trained themselves for 8 weeks and don't have a college degree in CS or something similar?"

I just said it was an opinion, Maurice. Not fact. I'm not a nutritionist. Carbs are, like any other food, uh... food. What's the credo on the front of that book, In Defense of Food? Eat food. Not too much. Mostly plants.

No, I definitely wasn't suggesting that we should eliminate them entirely. Ketogenic diets, in my mind, are for people who are dangerously obese and need quick action to get back to a healthy weight.

The Paleo part is kind of bullshit. See this great article about Marlene Zuk for why.

This is a thing I don't understand. Why buy the service if you're just going to shut it down? What purpose does that serve to Yahoo. Seems like wasted capital...

"I don't really see your point about the process to remove the yeast flavor. Yeast is not an appropriate flavor for Amerian Lagers (Read the style guidelines at www.BJCP.org)"

I mean, I understand that mentality and yes, to a certain extent, you do have to lead die-hard Bud drinkers to the greener pastures of microbreweries. But "including Bud" as an entrypoint isn't the way to do it and most people who are die hard Budweiser drinkers aren't ever going to enjoy the craft beer scene.

Because every dish at every restaurant everywhere costs exactly the same, right?

A lot of this is very, very cool; specifically, I like the notification add ons and the Voice thing. The only thing though... once you start adding just about everything you've got on your home screen, is it even a lock screen anymore? Haven't you just recreated your home screen?

I'm so glad someone mentioned beer making. I was going to if it wasn't already here. Such a rewarding hobby and, assuming you put the time and effort in, a great way to make new friends since most folks love beer!

One of my best friends:

These days, the paper coupon—-manufacturer or store—-are kept as a secondary form of verification only, and are only audited if there's a reason to audit. A family member who works for Publix told me that that his stores are only ever audited by the third party that produces the coupons when there are reports of actua

"Usually the way it works, in order to have an 8 year old kid, she would have first had to been a small child at some point."

As soon as I read the first, I dunno, paragraph of the article, the first words that popped into my head were, "Cue the arrogant Internet poster with perfect kids and the 'didn't do that crap when I was a kid' mentality."

"Yet I will still raise my kids the way I feel is right."

Well, I followed the links at the bottom of the article, and have previously read the book on which a lot of this is based—-Nurture Shock—-which has it's research easily accessible.

"I survived the era before seatbelts being mandated."
