After playing the beta I definitely will not be getting this. It does not have the Elders Scrolls feel and is just bland and generic.

From everything I've played of this game so far, I was unbelievably disappointed. It is WoW circa 2005. Story and plot are non-existant. Graphics are mediocre.

Game programmer here. What you just said sounds like what a producer without any technical background would say (a producer that is not financing the game, of course, since you said cost is negligible)

Except for a lack of resources. For a hobbyist or low-funded indie studio, getting servers running 24/7 can be too much.

I think he was referring to Indie games, or games with a limited budget. Adding online multiplayer might cost too much for small developers.

I'd have to agree. I'm a seasoned gamer and I miss having friends over for a game or three… or playing against people in arcades. Online multiplayer is great and all, but can't replace being social.

He's a dreamer. He has great ideas, some of them ahead of their time. I hope he keeps making games, even if some of them don't deliver 100% of his vision, they are still great games.

Doesn't bother me really , she should go back to Legacy Of Kain, she had more freedom of story telling in that series and it was not limited to cliche "blockbuster" action game, she had more creative freedom in it , and boy what a story/script she wrote in that, one of the best in any medium.

In this Steam sale, I bought more Indie games than ever before. I think I only bought 2-3 games that were not Indie!
