As far as Goldeneye goes, it's a pretty thin line and thus why I was still pretty entertained by this video. There are, however, speedruns that involve using exploits that skip past large chunks of gameplay that otherwise would not be skippable- these, specifically, are the ones that bug me. I'm sorry I failed to make

I forgot about this! Through half of my gaming life I used inverted controls, but at some point my brain just flipped over and made the switch. And it's always kind of bugged me because I could never remember if I had truly used inverted controls, or if it's just something I remember myself doing. Not sure when/why/or

It's just a personal thing. In my mind a speed run should be done within the limitations the game has for itself through the normal experience of gameplay. I have no doubt that they are incredibly talented, in fact, I know they are. And I understand why speedrunning allows for such exploits. It's certainly impressive.

I also love that there are objectives that change depending on the difficulty. I don't know why that's not explored more often. Hell most games don't even have objectives to fulfill. You're just there, a dude with a gun. Kill everyone. Move on. You may have some generic objective like "reach x so you can kill y," but

I'm not big on them either. I know they're technically impressive, and the amount of skill/practice involved is astronomical, and that what I'm seeing is something I'd never see otherwise. But at the same time it's hard to look past the exploits, or the fact that (especially the Goldeneye one) you spend almost all of

The less you're looking at the less the game has to render. Basically, looking at stuff lags the game, but because you're up against an independent clock this slows down your overall time.

At the time? Yes. There was nothing really like it on consoles. FPS was considered a PC only domain until it dropped. It changed a lot of attitudes. There are also still things that it does that no other game has since.

I named my kid Assface McGee.

As far as this poll is concerned, yes. It's little more than a popularity contest.

Agreed. Not only is it a huge drain on local resources but one of these days someone is going to get killed. I can't imagine how I'd react if a bunch of heavily armed men stormed my home and started pointing guns at me.

It's ok, some people just... they just... sigh. It's ok.

I don't regard them as masterpieces but it's still hard to disregard the fact that many do and that they are all extremely popular.

Yeah, Monster Girl Quest 3 is a series with such awesome pedigree that of course it's going to be able to compete, vote for vote, with the Last of Us. It's also such a highly regarded game that people genuinely feel it's better than every other heavy hitter this year, Bioshock Infinite, GTAV. It's broad appeal is so

It feels like a lot of them are shifting towards the mobile and/or free to play, market. Which is fine, I guess, but I wish they wouldn't rape fan beloved properties in the process. :-(

Why do you care? Video Games are tremendously diverse with people liking or disliking a particular game, or a particular aspects of game, at their own leisure. Not everyone is going to enjoy the same things.

Whenever I get new socks my only thoughts are about how I wish I could have new socks on my feet every. single. day. Those fleece ones sound amazing!

I fucking wish I had a new pair of socks. They feel so great!

I'm with you. I learned the lesson a long time ago with cheat codes that would make you invincible. It's fun to screw around for awhile like that, but without the normal tension of gameplay it quickly becomes boring.

What I really hate is the fucker that decided to burst into my room and start cutting onions for all of that. Made it really hard to focus on the scene.

Oh, I'm sorry. You had to answer in the form of the Joker.
