I totally lost my shit when this happened. Crash Bandicoot was such a big part of my childhood and I had a stupid grin on my face the entire time I played. I also loved the jabs about it taking forever to load and how people just want their games to be instantaneous.

I too get upset when video game reviews remark on the setting and premise.

Teacher here...many schools have changed STEM to STEAM to include art because the arts are important to cognitive development and learning just as science, technology, engineering, and mathematics are.

I also just want to point out: a year after I wrote a review of Far Cry 4 saying arguing that the animals in the game were far more interesting than the people in it, and that the series should just focus on animals instead of being Yet Another Shooter, Ubisoft announced a new Far Cry game set in a prehistoric era

1) He’s had this his whole life, before being a pro.
2) Being a pro is a job, not like he’s inside 24/7

I don’t like Gone Home being on lists like this because I just don’t think it is a good game. I can think of tons of other games that I would put above it. However that is my opinion, and I’m totally cool with people not sharing that opinion.

Probably not. Traditional art reached a “peak” once artists perfected photorealistic paintings. This is what lead to the rise of abstract and stylized art. I think games will (likely soon) reach a similar peak, where graphics will become so close to photorealistic that console makers will need to start pursuing other
