I remember sitting in a new one, and noting that the rear seat had electronic controls for reclining.

Let's get be honest here, with the kinds of vehicles we work on, we really need a broom and some oil-absorbent gravel

A REAL bench battery charger/jump starter

Unfortunately, most of us don't have garages with 10-foot ceilings

Air compressor

Today those side louvers are worth about as much as a used Conquest.

I bought a stock '89 Conquest 6 months ago (collateral damage from surfing Ebay late at night). While you NEVER see them on the road, they aren't too tough to find for sale, and there's good online support at Starquestclub.com. Also, turns out nearly everybody that owns one has a parts car laying around too.

That, plus a restorer putting on Kumho tires, screams "I cut corners."

It appears that there is some confusion as to this QOTD. My understanding is that the question is "what ONCE COMMON desireable car has almost totally disappeared" while others (based on posting vehicles such as Porsche 959s, GNXs, ZR1s) understand the question to be broader, covering cars that were never common even

someone apparently told them to get the lead out.

Now playing

You can catch the Volvo vent/oreo refernce in this video

Still lamenting selling mine 10 years ago for $3000

They are hard to find, but since there's no collector market, you can pick one up pretty cheap. Good luck

Nice choice, but the QOTD implies that the car at one time must have been common. GNX's were collector cars right off the showroom floor. GN's are still pretty common on dragstrips

It was right behind the big-engined M-B S Class

I dunno- many are still on the road today

83-89 Mitsubishi Starion - Dodge/Chrysler/Plymouth Conquest. There is pretty much no collector market out there

6. You get to share the road with fewer schmendricks.

Given this truck's in-car connectivity, shouldn't they have used this band to introduce it rather than Big & Rich?
