+1 for clapper joke

Its funny you mentioned "self indulgent and college jazz." They're from Denton, Texas. I live here and went to school out here. At UNT there's a pretty good Jazz program. I wasn't involved with the program or anything, but it's nice to hear someone from some where else pick up on that vibe and be bored by it. Smug

Maybe i'm being too optimistic, but at least that thing was a puppet.

I agree. I love the legacy hornet. I've collected "anecdotal evidence," that suggests the F/A-18a+ is one of the best aircraft in the world when it comes to a knife fight. That's not exactly the most relevant attribute in the over all discussion of what the navy needs out of a fast jet, but it's cool none the less.

Well I was and I wasn't, but I think you understand why I should have known better.

Haha, I should have seen this coming.

Chappy was flying an Israeli F-16 so he'd probably not be very impressed.

Cheers, indeed. The f-22 is really maneuverable. And really cool. I love it. I always kind of looked like it as some kind of super f-15 with a few extra tricks up it's sleeve.

Ok you're probably right, if i'm in an f-16. According to me trying to fact check you with this chart here. But this is an old f-16, and I couldn't find one of these on the F-15c quick enough.

Yes but then you have to turn all the way around again AND speed back up to get on his tail. This would be good to disengage, because you'd be hardly moving, yes, he'd zoom past, but in any environment that isn't 1v1 you have to be careful his wing man doesn't line you up and take you out after that. Either way, after

Trust vectoring is the fastest way to loose all of your energy and get shot.

I liked the 2012 video better! It had more Air to Air.

Given your expertise, you should know that the f-15 has no IRST and has no way to engage anything in BVR based on IR, because it can't collect IR data on it's own. I love the f-15 too, but this is bogus. Planes like the su-27 the mig-29 and the EF2000 have IRST systems, and could potentially detect an f-22 in the air,

I looks like the a-12 avenger. It has a straight trailing edge.

Figured you were, but I am eager to see your take! It's been difficult trying to get clear picture of what went on.

I'm sure you've seen this already, but there were some interesting new developments in the eastern parts of the Ukraine today...

It was probably intercepted by a fighter and shot down as soon as what ever government realized hostile intent. It'd likely be covered up as much as possible, because as much as I don't think anyone wants to risk someone flying another airliner into something, no one wants to shoot down an airliner full of people. The

Good choice of music on this one.

I loved your old site, and I love the work on here. I also love the f-16N. You should do write up on aggressor aircraft. That's something I don't think the general public has any real concept of and would be interesting to even those with only a general interest in cool shit that goes fast.
