I have seen, and experienced, how the media's racist and sexist objectification of Latin women has directly resulted in sexual harrassment on the streets. Where I live the in Britain the Latin community is fairly new, but there is one barrio in London that everyone knows has become a centre of the community. If you

Seriously Jezabel, you recommended that game in one of your pieces about christmas presents, I went out and bought it for my brother, and now your saying it's no good? grrrrr...

OMG I went through the same thing. Everyone I looked up to in popular culture was male - sportsmen, my favourite bands, etc. I thought I had to be a "boy" to be cool like them. Then I finally realised that I shouldn't be ashamed of being a girl, that I should be proud of who I am.

I live in the UK. We don't all look like Prince friggin' William. We are very ethnically diverse, and 50% of our population is female (duh!). I took a course in digital design - one tutor was an immigrant woman and the other was a severely disabled man, and only two of the students were white. I have experience

eeerm what is Snooki?

I know!!!!!

OMG I just wikipidead her. Her Dad was involved in the brutal dictatorship in Argentina and she was a banker. Not badass. Just er...bad.

OMG these people are so stupid, especially the one that said Romney is a "full blooded American". Really? Cos he looks European to me. Meanwhile "Latinos", many of whom actually have indigenous blood running though their veins are called "aliens". Weird.

I think the article would have made a better analogy if some of the Christians reacted badly to being told no - if they started insulting the guy, or swearing, and if out of the dozens maybe one of them punched him after being told to go away. And if maybe in the analogy Christians started beating up their atheist

BTW, these are university guys, not college boys. In the UK, "college" is what you go to before Uni. You go to school until 16, than college or sixth form until 18, then university. Still though, this is pretty messed up. Sometimes I feel things are getting worse for women, not better :(

I live in the UK, and I don't know what you mean by "single-sex education". Do you mean an entire university just for women? They don't exist in th UK - if you want a University education you have to go to a Uni where there will be men or not go at all.
