I don’t think this was the writers’ intention, but I was kind of happy to see Cassidy move on and make new friends, even though logic dictates that things will have to inevitably go south. His relationship with Jesse has been nothing short of toxic.

i’m currently trying to binge-watch P&R (currently s3). part of me is angry that i didn’t watch it when it aired (i think i started but just sort of stopped) so i missed out big time. but the other part of me is happy that i can just binge it all with no waiting and no commercials.

Ideally, Offerman would be sitting off to the side, silently sipping some Lagavulin while Poehler reads the phone book.

I haven’t seen the episode yet, but that still image has me wondering: is the show doing a Dark Shadows parody/homage here?  That looks like it was shot on video, like a soap opera.

I used to do this with my Dad. Then he and I have had some conversations about “Well Dad, long ago when I was a struggling waitress...” so I think he’s at least around 20% now. My Dad is really a great guy, but he was raised in fairly tough circumstances, and his sport or choice is financial minutia.

When dining with my parents I always make sure to bring extra cash to bring the tip up to a decent level, and they don’t even have dementia (they have a much worse disease, “Republicanism”). They’re cool in the sense of they always pay when taking us out, but I’m family and unfortunately for them the servers are not.
