What org is letting you run without limits for $50? Cheapest I’ve seen is those “at-speed” glorified parade laps with no passing for about that price.

COTA is just expensive, period. $1000+ for an HPDE event weekend vs $300-$400 for other Texas tracks.
There are definitely other models that can be used to reward those who perform services for an organization. For example, giving a cut of merchandising (and disclosing that before users make a purchase) to these volunteers has worked well for both members and volunteers. For forums, this can manifest in the way of…
Actually...
When adding compensation into the mix, the users — for whatever stupid reason, get a customer/server mentality, where they somehow begin to act as if they are your superior since their money goes towards mods’ pay.
I can feel the HOA letter in my mailbox already.
I’m an Austin resident and #trackdaybro. I posted this in a separate comment above, but here ya go:
For anyone interested in driving COTA in their own car with an instructor, ChinTrackDays is the organizer I recommend. They do weekend-long events in a HPDE environment setting, where an instructor will be in your passenger seat the entire weekend, communicating to you with a headset.

I’m assuming with The Driver’s Edge? Because that’s who I’ll be there with.
I’m searching for another track that’s similar to it. Road Atlanta had some corners that reminded me of TWS, but any similarities stopped there.
Texas World Speedway was my first trackday and grew to be my favorite track that I’ve ever driven. Such an underrated track where both high HP and “momentum” cars could play together without too much trouble.
Konami’s actually a pretty notable player in the Gaming industry (the nice term for gambling/casino industry). They make games, as well as hardware. Can’t speak for their games, but their components aren’t too shabby.
Achievements on a porn site??? Elaborate.
I’ve done it. Probably a bunch of other track people have done it out of “well fuck I need it for now” situations that happen at track.
You shut your mouth about TWS (RIP).
If you play on Xbone, I may have salted you recently...
