I know for sure you could personal lobby and 1v1, but I can't remember if there was a supported ranked lobby for it. I'm starting to think there wasn't.

I believe Halo 3 had a 1v1, and although I didn't play all day, I enjoyed it occasionally. It's a good break from when someone says, "MY TEAM HOLDS ME BACK." Just get them to prove it in some 1v1.
