I think that happened... but no, a Googling indicates it never saw a release.
Between the rumors of Tomb Raider coming to next-gen and simply playing ACIV, I've developed a lust for a Far Cry 3 PS4 port. Ohhh I'd buy the crap out of that.
I'll just leave this here. No pressure. Both the PS3 and Vita versions are on sale right now for $29.99.
I've put about 140 hours into it so far. Darling, it's fabulous. Utterly gorgeous, nice deep combat mechanics, six vastly different characters to master (protip: Amazon or Elf have the biggest fun factor), it's designed to be light on story and heavy on replay value.
DO tell them about Guacamelee, Muramasa Rebirth, Persona 4 Golden, Dragon's Crown and Killzone : Mercenary.
Good lord.
Isn't there a specifically-Japanese Kotaku site for game news in Japan? 'Cause here in North America, Ys Celceta is a cool action-RPG the likes of which the Vita hasn't really seen before, and could use more of.
I really appreciated the zen garden. I thought that was hilarious.
I'll be honest... that bugged me too.
I dunno, I don't feel hundreds of back-catalog PS1 + PSP games, plus Uncharted, Killzone, Gravity Rush, Persona 4, Atelier, Disgaea, Guacamelee, Hotline Miami, Muramasa and Dragon's Crown equates to zero games. If anything it equates to a bunch of awesome games.
The attach rate for Vita is huge, though. Folks who have Vitas love 'em.
I'd add the inFamous Powers trailer, one of the Darksiders trailers, I forget which (first game), the Arkham City trailer with The Heavy's Short Change Hero playing over it annnd the CGI trailer for WET. Loved that trailer.
I'm not a big Fallon fan, but that was hilarious.
Or so the German Shepards would have us believe.
Yep yep! Far Cry 3's opening is one of the best of the gen, up there with Dead Space 2 and Arkham City.
Oh c'mon, you didn't think it was a little funny? I thought it was pretty funny!
"First launch" is absolutely correct, and things will look very different even a few years into this next gen. Once third-party developers understand how to unlock the infinite power of the cloud, the Xbox One will be rockin' 4K resolution at 60fps while the PS4 languishes in grainy 'ol 1080p.
Man, that really goes to show how much of an impact smart, expressive animations can have. It looks like every swing of the sword is at the absolute edge of the character's strength.
Same here. Best console survival horror of this gen, and it was practically a launch window title (came out the summer after the PS3's launch). No other console horror game really approached it.
