@Michael Dukakis: Y'know, I'm kinda missing Jason Bay carrying my team on his back. Can't the Mets send him back or something? Not like you'll need him after the regular season...

Beltre (thankfully..) is hitting quite well at this point in the season, with a .338 BA, .372 OBP, .400 slugging, .772 OPS and 9 RBIs. So he's at least on pace to have more hits than his real 2009, or those simulations.

Meh, anyone familiar with THQ wouldn't be surprised at this. They have some history of throwing around console exclusive content for no apparent reason. Only fight I can remember is Hughes - Gracie, though.

@TressaRegillus: @Thoraxes: @AntRid: @Freyar: @Commcd: @enlargedhousecat: @amalik62: Thanks, I skipped the UI beta so I hadn't discovered this yet. I'm not saying the new details look is bad, but I just think the old layout is more practical for everyday use.

Mostly very nice looking, but the old games list needs to make a comeback. Or at least an option of reverting to the old layout.

This definitely must be a new feature for '10, but even if it were available to me in my current '09 RTTS, I couldn't bring myself to juice up like you, Owen. I've long avoided cheat codes/equivalent DLC in games because I find that while it's fun at first, it almost always kills my enjoyment of playing the game at

@Chalkdust: I knew I remembered something like this happening..

@Michael Dukakis: @Bill Clinton: @Helba: Sick to death of Japan-Bashing: @chewblaha: Detecting lethal levels of fail in this thread. Seriously, this is going nowhere.

MLB 09: The Show, trying to make a balanced C/3B. Also got my SC2 beta key from Amazon yesterday, so when that patches up I'll be playing a lot of that I figure. If I have any time left, it'll be Stainless Steel time.

Looks decent enough, but I'm still waiting to see what makes this an MMO besides having a (I assume) a subscription model attached to it. Everything I've seen of this game so far appears to be a console co-op game, allowing 1-3 players in a larger than average game world. That's not massively multiplayer...

Madden... simpler? Why? I'm sure we're going to be subjected to that whole "oh no our game is TOTALLY not dumbed down at all" tripe, but that's what it sounds like. I hope I'm very wrong...

Hell yes, I would wholeheartedly approve if Gus were to take over Madden play by play. Virtually any NFL game Gus is assigned to on Sundays is must see tv.

@Chester Coat Sleaves: Eh, I think people are reading too much into his reaction to the in-ring stupidity. Not that he's a great MMA commentator, but personally the Kimbo Slice call is a million times worse.

So yeah, finding out today that a) Bond 23 is on hold and b) The Hobbit has never even been greenlit, I'm quite depressed for the near future of movies, aside from Iron Man 2. What is there to look forward to, honestly? Those two(well, three) are all I'm looking forward to.

Forgive me if this is too obvious, but Civilization games, at least the old ones. Haven't bought IV yet. I can't remember what the first was like, but II and III's were more like small books than manuals. They went to pretty extensive detail to make sure a player could learn mostly everything about how to play the

Sounds more like an excuse to just stop making the already half-assed efforts that most manuals are today. This is not a positive move, though I'm sure it'll be followed by other companies, including ones that make worthwhile games.

Nice work, Owen. Would be good to see both games improve their models of the parks and camera controls to mimic real life broadcasts even closer.
