No, games aren't too much like work. If anything, as the author himself alludes to, we're generally seeing games made easier over time. There are generally difficulty levels that exist to accommodate different tastes...
@mrdietsoda: NMA has a page that supports a lot of that. [www.nma-fallout.com]
@Jay Jay Deng: That's where you're mistaken. Everything needs to be justified to Kotaku!
One of the reasons we removed the PS3 jingle is that it was created to indicate the start of a game, but now we're offering non-game content such as Vidzone in addition to games. More importantly though, this change makes the loading time a bit quicker than before, which we think will be a noticeable benefit for all…
@ShadowOdin of dubious snowiness: Agreed, this is definitely a downgrade. Changing the logo on the box is one thing, but do they really need to take up so much space, and push "Only on Playstation" down to its own bar? Ugh.
@D0RC: That's more /v/ than anything else..
@Redh3lix: Or he's avoiding it?
@Convair 990A: ..wouldn't PS2 backward compatibility be an old direction? :p
Bravo, thank you for this post Luke. Seems like it's been a long time coming.
L4D on Steam and Fallout 3 for today. Not loving FO3's combat honestly, but it's Fallout and it's fun enough to play. Steam ID - Truthiness if anyone wants to kill zombies.
@Alith: When the price is right, occasionally yes.
I'd like more Generals, less Tiberium Wars, to put it simply. More enjoyable gameplay please.
@uchennaokafor: What, not enough barcode and clutter for you? :p
But will there be Justification?!
Can't wait for Dynasty 6 Empires, although it seems like Koei had nothing to show for it at E3. Not that I've seen anyway..
Sounds like they're working hard to make it playable for people who want to play MMOs alone. But will this game have party based PvE gameplay? Instances? Raids? So far I get the impression it doesn't really lend itself to the party formula found in some other MMOs.
@Ness: No place for Hideo?
Makes a lot of sense to have an MMO on multiple platforms, although with each comes more demand for support, and they have to make updates/expansions work for each.
