Good read.. I don't know if this is the case for most people in America, but for me as I get older I feel more out of place in arcades. Not entirely sure why, but I guess it's just partially my personality and that these places tend to be aimed at getting kids to come in with their parents. I do miss going to them…

Eh, I'm not a fan of either service really. If Microsoft had it so that I could use Netflix without paying for Gold service, and the selection was better than maybe that'd be attractive to me, but as of right now I'd rather just stick with more traditional renting services.

Too short, but I really like what they've shown so far. Not saying it's the best game ever, or best FPS. Who gives a shit. It's fun, great looking, and different. Feels better to me than Resistance 2 beta was.

I don't really see an identity crisis, or problem here. Admittedly I loved DoW and CoH when I discovered those games, so my judgement may* be clouded. Also loved the hero system in WC3, so my tastes may not be typical..

@WolFEnsTeiN68: Valkyria Chronicles is published by SEGA, not Sony though so maybe that's the difference? Seems to be a trend with first party games.

@sascha23: I think it will be, but most of the successful PS3 games have been very slow to drop in price. So eventually when MGS4 falls further, I'd expect to see the Greatest Hit treatment. Heck, Uncharted still hasn't reached that point yet.

Interesting how many people seem to think this is the first time Reeves has been sensible. Sure, he's made a bunch of boneheaded remarks but I remember his last interview posted here being pretty smart as well.

Hopefully this doesn't affect Relic at all, or Big Huge games. Maybe "cutting costs" could include firing Cory Ledesma, and not releasing WWE games every year. I know it's wrong to wish unemployment on people, but sometimes when people do a horrible job, outright lie to fans, they deserve it.

@Kro: I don't see a problem with their response as long as Blizzard doesn't just come out and say "fuck you" to fans of the series. It's mostly about making fun of the extreme ones who claim they are true fans, and those who disagree are not.

@Mentuss: The thing many people miss is that most of Diablo is supposed to be dark. I think D3 will turn out fine, but I don't blame anyone for not wanting Blizzard to give it the WoW treatment.

Terrible. Most of the stuff he said was true but the problem is only extreme weirdos use WoW-speak in real life when talking with human beings. It's just not acceptable outside of WoW. Until you've played the game awhile none of that makes any sense anyway.
