Maybe he’s just super low key about it, but I always rage at the fact that other than Silent Hill, Yamaoka never seems to get the big work he deserves, it always seems like its smaller devs that use his attachment as a way to drum up word of mouth recognition (and rightfully so).

To be honest I was a bit disappointed in the overall patch notes, but i’ll dive in to see if i notice any major improvements on the PC.

Hmm. really looking forward to a more concrete Horizon date.

Half the parts in my PC are perfectly good and reusable, which when combined with the prebuilt labor markup make that way more expensive than just waiting it out.

For the first time ever I have the cash on hand to rebuild my PC to be the best it can be (within reason, i don’t need a workstation capable pc for just gaming) by choice and not because something shorted/exploded outside the warrenty date.

Yeah i wish the whole setting got more love. After playing Bloodlines about 2 years back (and with the heavy lifting of the fan patch) it feels like that whole IP is pretty cool, but obviously needs a dev to give it some real tlc. and as you mention, bloodlines 2 seems like a dumpster fire of development. Which sucks

My friend stopped after ending A and I kept going because I had read here on Kotaku about it. I went back and told him how god damn HYPE that third playthrough opening was (and later the ending). He asked me how the second route was

Yeah you’d think people who actually played the fucking game might get the hint as to why that doesn’t help a god damn thing.

The whole shitshow around TLoU2 was just so...exhausting. I loved it, other people didn’t. That’s cool, thats life and everyone being different. But then I saw how people were acting and it just hit me differently in a way I can’t really recall happening any other time. It was like the purest, most toxic distillation

As someone who loved RE3 remake, the reason why I also consider it one of the biggest disappointments is because they did to it exactly what they did to the original 3, which was slap together a good game, but obviously not given the time or love of 2 (3 was originally a side story entry that got bumped up for various

So GamersNexus on Youtube ran a video about the 1.05 patch the improvements it was supposed to bring and tested what it and the hex edit mod did that might explain why it didn’t do much. The gist is that honestly they only found significant improvement on the lowest cores (they specifically reference the 4 core 3300)

Okay two points, the first: Fuck it i’m buying a can of spam and doing...something with it, just out of pure morbid curiosity. Scratch “Try Spam” off the ol’ bucket list. If I don’t survive, tell my story (its simple “dude was a shut in gaming nerd with two fatass cats, The End).

They should have just made it PC exclusive till the next gen versions were done. I don’t know when the line to make a decision like that is in terms of development and contracts, but they should have made it.

Meanwhile I can’t see mine because its sitting behind my tv and pc monitor on top of my desk that doubles as my entertainment center. Upside down? vertical? horizontal? for all I know its not even there and the DS remake exists purely in my  head.

I guess considering the original release timeline, I understand why, but in the end I feel like releasing these on last gen consoles was a mistake, probably should have just put it out on PC and held the console version back as a launch day title for the PS5/XBX.

The only boss specific one i passed up was Dragon God with Hand of God because I did magic spec and fuck that. Honestly I hate that they didn’t put in a respec purely because thats what made getting 100% in DS3 so much fun, that I could take the same file through the required number of runs (3 and I did a half of a

Still haven’t finished it either, mainly because at the end of the day its “just” Demon’s Souls. Don’t get me wrong, Bluepoint did an amazing job with the audio and visual upgrade (and the tight dualsense usage) while sanding down some of Demon’s more jagged design edges but I think the fact that I replayed a decent

I don’t really know that you “should” m/kb it. To be honest after about 15 hours i wouldn’t say that matters all that much as long as the inventory isn’t causing you a problem. Plus smart weapons are a thing.

Well...I can’t say that was a headline I expected to read today. To be fair as someone currently living in America I’ve been saying that a lot lately but here we are.

Really? on a mouse or controller? I’m mouse and I had to bump it up...in fact i might go a little higher, and I have shaky ass crack hands that never met an overcorrection it didn’t love.
