Option C: none of the above. I really hate modern amnesia/PT/Outlast style horror games (PT only gets a pass because it was short and revealed silent hill)
I definitely liked it when i saw the NA version. Then i saw the JP and realized how amazingly well it worked.
Well the fact that its “new PT” is kind of the issue. For one, its kind of obvious thats probably exactly where they got the idea and with SH and RE being the two big competitors of the old survival horror scene, it comes off a tiny bit copy cat-ish.
From what i caught in The e3 presentation, im not seeing a system designed for big ass brawls with kratos racking up hundred hit combos...which is kind of a big part of why I liked god of war.
Very nice addition. lets you go full on beat down when all is good, but take a second when shit starts hitting the fan to scope the field and make an adjustment.
Let us be honest we know who really wears the pants in that relationship
The manniquins are exactly what sent me to condemned as well.
Id hope youre right. A game that can scare me when ive got a gun is more interesting than one where i rely on 5yr old hide and seek skills.
Im not, even watching that extended trailer made me think there isnt much RE about this so much as its just another generic modern walk and hide horror game.
Not gonna lie, thought it was a new Condemned game. Didn’t think RE at all...which, in a way kind of worries me, especially the fps view but maybe that was just because of the VR aspect being announced as well.
Its weird because i tuned in a bit late (finishing DOOM) and instantly recognized kratos. “oh its God of War” then I watched the first bit of combat and thought “wait...this doesn’t look very much like a god of war game”
Theres a new king of the open world fantasy rpg realm and the best bethesda could bring is remastering skyrim?
Maybe I missed it, but one thing I’m curious about is whether or not they’ve kept the “flash grenade to the face” levels of ridiculous bloom.
That is way too real for a game staring a pink puff ball glutton
I imagine its more level gated than quest gated. But you can start a save file with a free lvl appropriate geralt to jump right to the dlc if you so choose, itll just be a seperate file.
ah witcher 3, how happy I am to have more content, how sad I am that this is farewell. Loving Blood and wine so far (the UI updates are sexy as fuck). TW3 is not a perfect, flawless game, non such thing exists, but as far as I’m concerned, it is the standard by which all future modern open world western rpgs shall be…
I saw something similar on Dark Souls 3 reddit after those articles on Poise going up. People talking about how kotaku was shit and makes stuff up and how there was no proof kotaku actually talked to anyone...then in the next sentence bitching about how poise does nothing and shortly after a community rep came by and…
Having never played a total war (beyond I think a Rome demo) the departure from history that initially put you off, drew me in. A unit of roman horses charging in to the greek archer backline (I assume those factions exist)...yawn.
You know, without some context, reading about compatibility hacks, Oculus storefront, and Piracy protection concerns, I’d have no idea you were talking about a glorified set of monitors strapped to your face.
