Probably because men are constantly thinking about / with their dick. I forget I have boobs all the time (they’re small) unless I’m jogging lol.

As somebody who used to write for Harlequin, I beg to differ. Nobody I knew wrote to a formula and I definitely didn’t. It’s been awhile since HQ was my publisher, but I would respectfully (truly, no sarcasm) ask that we not trash women writing in a female genre.

You really need to join a romance writers’ group. Now I know you might be thinking “I am not writing a romance!” but that’s not necessarily so as romance exists in most books. BUT, the real point I want to make is that romance authors are the most generous with advice, and they are a very ethnically diverse group. Yes

That’s because we’re forced to live in a world shaped and created by menfor their benefit but they’ve never had to live in ours. Similar to how it’s pretty easy for POC to write white characters while white authors usually struggle with writing POC characters. Because POC must live and adapt to the white world to be

I’m a history nerd so it’s a lot of Phillipa Gregory and Allison Weir. But I also really like Diane Setterfield, but she needs to write more books!

Especially when said woman character immediately starts validating the male character (and is usually the only one, often risking her career/family/life to do so, but THE TRUTH IS IN HIM)

I’m convinced men are just, as a general rule, not good at writing from a female perspective. Female authors can write male narrators/main characters pretty deftly, but men so rarely consume media that forces them to identify with women and see the world through their eyes that they don’t pick up that skill.

If a female character is written so that she’s hot and not much more than a mirror to a male character, then it’s obvious a guy is the author.

If they’re describing women as 5'10" 120#, that’s a dead giveaway right there.

I think about this a lot as I have a 104 year old grandpa. His wife, my grandma, died about 5 years ago. His sister passed recently. He still has all his kids and grandkids, but I can’t imagine how hard it is to be the last person around out of all the people you built your whole life with.

I’m so sorry for your loss. I know how hard it is to get and stay clean- nearly impossible. My advice is to move away, far away from anyone you know who uses. Make it difficult to get, move somewhere where you can’t call someone to hook you up. Find new friends and a new job. It’s crazy to think of doing all of

C’mon, man. Did you really have to misery-one-upsmanship this article? Do you walk into funerals and ask “You think this is bad? My parents, siblings, and cats all died in a house fire.”

I saw that episode, I think! The family was first in California, but then moved to Upstate New York, near Rochester? Yeah, and they bought possibly the dumpiest, shittiest little bungalow because they wanted to be ‘close; to their children and ‘travel’.

I’ve seen episodes where couples with kids do this and all I can ever think is, “Your bedroom is a loft with no door that is 10 feet away from your children’s loft with no door. You will never have sex again.”

hahaha I just baseline assumed that this small home was in the middle of montana because I really have been watching too many Tiny House Hunters episodes, somebody save me.

I saw an episode with a Lesbian couple and their two small children and I think even a dog too. They’d been living with one of their parents “saving up” for a place of their own. They kept talking about how the tiny home was perfect for them because it allowed them to have a house with all the amenities they wanted

And like, that’s called an RV. I hate how the tiny house people acted like they invented so many life hacks. “It’s an affordable prefab tiny house for the whole family!” yeah, that’s a trailer house, I grew up in one. “It’s a tiny house retreat in the wilderness!” OMG I didn’t know you invented cabins.

I feel like there are 3 people who get tiny houses.

Never watched GoT or read any of the Lit. I think I prefer the show Marco Polo tho on Netflix’s it’s cooler if I had to compare with screen shots ha
