Usually the longer it takes to come out, the worse it looks on the police side. They have to analyze the video and try to get their stories straight before it releases and the public/ media picks their story apart.

This was an eyewitness at last night’s protest.

I don’t know much about police training, but it certainly seems that they spend far too little time on teaching situational awareness, de-escalation and effective policing techniques. Police are necessary, but their attitudes combined with their lack of training is just ridiculous and dangerous.

The worst one I keep seeing is “You can’t believe everything protestors say” the implication being that their explanation of events is some how worse than the police’s, which is just fucking ridiculous when we’ve seen how often the police just blatantly lie and obfuscate.

Who you gonna trust, me or your lying eyes?

This is what I keep saying. Cops lie all the time. Comments keep coming up like “well, if he was holding a gun?” OR “he was 13 he shouldn’t have held up a gun at the cops.” Do you know if that really happened. In my city a young man was shot multipe times by police and the public was told he was in a police chase and…

The police are public servants. Body cam/dash cam footage should be public record. Period.

What they’re counting on is their belief that you will--the same way that we in MN have stopped protesting for the Philando Castile tape. Filibuster until you give up, is their thinking.

Sounds like a load of crap, and they are worried the real riots are going to start once a video is released from 3-5 cameras showing cops gunning down a guy that obviously has a book in his hands.

This is ridiculous. They will eventually need to show us the videos. It’s not like the public is going to let this go.

Though, it was like pulling teeth to get him to admit this. They’ve also walked back the original reporting from the department that the shooting last night didn’t involve a police officer. They are now back to “investigating” it.

But can we keep the “drugging” in perspective here? It’s weed. Not coke or meth.

That was a big part of my problem with him for the whole Jen/Ange thing, instead of just stating he was a grown man who made a decision to end his marriage because he fell out of love with one woman and in love with another, he just let the media have a free for all on two women who were/are important to him, and…

Um, right now it looks like basically everything that’s come out is making him look bad, not her. If the Patriarchy is trying to manipulate the message to get people to blame Angelina, it sure isn’t working so far.

It does feel like sometime in the past few years the world has crossed over from occasional bouts of crazy to being full-time nuts.

I’m starting to believe that our planet has passed through some solar storm that has turned our planet into some sort of opposite version of itself. Or it’s possible that I’m just making excuses for the cesspool that this country actually is.

It’s unbelievable how protected these murderers are.

The governor is concerned with civil rights? I didn’t know he knew what they were what with him and his party blatantly violating them every chance they get.

So the urinary habits of private citizens are fair game for legal intercession, but it’s uncool to discuss or oversee the potentially deadly actions of on-duty public servants? Got it.
