90% of my wardrobe is from TJMaxx and Marshalls, I don't have JCrew kinda money. I'm gonna have to go hunting for this sweatshirt dress.

Wait....what?!!! I NEED THAT ASAP! Where did you get these magical dresses?
Just about to write this. Looks like a normal day in India.
I still haven't picked up 8 yet, I don't have the patience. Was it worth it? I hated how literally nothing happened in all of book 7 until the last 50 pages and then it felt so rushed.
If you like the pacing of the first three books, be prepared for the pace to slow wayyyyyyyy down. The author gets very very very verbose later on (the first 300+ pages of the fifth book covers about one day). Since book 5, I've often found my self flipping through many pages with storylines that get nowhere and have…
I get where you are coming from, but there is a big difference between changing details and changing personality traits of major characters. I haven't actually seen anyone "kvetching when the tv episode doesn't exactly follow every detail of what happened in the book," at least not on Jezebel/io9.
***Book Spoilers****
I watched the entire flogging scene through my fingers, I don't think I'll be able to watch the Wentworth stuff AT ALL. Kudos to the makeup team but it was horrifying to watch.
Ugh my grandparents live in that district. They also watch a lot of Fox News. You'd thing being minorities they would realize that they vote against their interests and the interests of their 5 granddaughters but no, they continue to vote for assholes.
YES that is exactly how I felt about the "Rent" episode. She comes off a lot more wise and shrewd in the book. I was already having problems with warming up to Caitriona Balfe as Claire, but decided that I shouldn't judge her off of just one or two episodes but now the writing has added some personality quirks I…
No, she tries to run away and that puts everyone's lives in danger which is why he had to punish her. She's definitely opinionated in the book but way more smart about when to speak up and when to shut up. She is coming off kind of dumb and petulant on the show.
Well yea, that's why I said next season. Season 2 is suppose to be based off of Dragonfly in Amber. Only the first part of this season is ending, not season 1. There are 8 more episodes left in Season 1 which will air in 2015. TvDougal is a much more fleshed out character than BookDougal, I'm genuinely going to be sad…
Yea, TvJamie pretty much has been sapped of his personality & humor. How is the audience suppose to believe that Claire falls in love with him? I miss BookJamie.
Yea I'm not sure how to feel about Frank. In the book he was barely there and then not brought up much at all so it was easy to jump into "I LOVE JAMIE & CLAIRE TOGETHER" but not sure how non-readers will feel about Claire falling in love with Jamie when they continue to show Frank. Already, there isn't as much…
He looks awfully calm and collected for a guy about to drop dead while watching his son get brutally flogged. Kind of weird.
Where is his BLACK HAIR?! That was literally his nickname.
Andrew Whipp is credited as Brian. http://www.imdb.com/name/nm1281686…
Since you're read the books, did you know BRIAN FRICKING FRASER has been cast already and was in the flogging scene? I had no idea which person it was but they mentioned him in the ending credits.
Yea reading all that was tough enough but I don't think I can stomach watching it. I'm assuming I'll be doing lots of watching through my fingers whenever Black Jack makes an appearance.
This whole episode made her seem extra idiotic. Similar to when she was dealing with Father Baine. I don't know where Ron Moore is going with this but stop fucking up one of my favorite female characters ever!
