I went to Baptist summer camp in the Ozarks for years and it was some of the absolute best times of my life. Beautiful part of the country.
My only explanation is that we must be right. I want that snub-nosed little party girl to take out Scrunchie Boners, break Harry's heart, and then laugh all the way to her inevitable society wedding to some dissolute European banker.
I hope she flung a cocktail into a fireplace, subtly readjusted her mink turban, and flounced out of the room, silk caftan trailing behind her.
In that case, sounds exactly the same as changing your undies every day, as far as vaginal integrity. LEAD ON!
Re: Alleged Prince Harry Love Triangle. My instant gut reaction was something along the lines of GET IN THERE, CHELSY, AND SMASH SOME SHIT UP! LEAVE DEVASTATION IN YOUR WAKE.
I would imagine you're fine in a skirt, but if you're wearing trousers, you ought to be washing them a lot? I actually enjoy free... lipping... (hmm) myself, but the whole point of underwear is protection. Just as I wouldn't wear one pair of underwear for a week, I wouldn't wear the same jeans every day for a week…
I am in agreement with you, and slightly annoyed (although unsurprised) at the responses you've received.
Answering as an American woman: Our cultural context is important, and I think your question is interesting. Rape has different consequences in different parts of the world - I wouldn't be shunned or stoned to death for being raped in the U.S., but that doesn't mean that there aren't victim-shaming consequences,…
Email her this article. Or have a friend do it, with a 'here's an unsolicited but helpful suggestion!' type of note.
I have a lot of shit to complain about; this is super-low on my outrage radar. If it gets people thinking about the value of feminism, who have not previously considered its impact on their lives, then I have no complaints that this might be a starting point.
I am glad others noticed this! I didn't want to body-snark but my very first thought on seeing this pic was 'I hate his stupid, wet-looking mouth.' What a backpfeifengesich. Good call on the glossy pout, I think that's it.
Same - I think we're Gen Y. We remember the '80s unironically, but we never embraced them wholeheartedly? The '90s were our game-changer.
Seen it, but it's been a while, and I may need to watch it again! Another fab Australian road horror is "Gone." I prefer it, actually, as it's far more suspenseful, and you get very into the characters. The first half is kind of a great roadtrip movie, although uneasy, and the tension builds and builds.
Like a slap in the face.
Thank you so much! I just replied to two other folk and asked for their top horror recommendations, so if you are interested, please check back and contribute if this thread gets going at all, as would welcome your input. :)
