Ford had the GT at NYIAS in this fantastic blue a few years back. As we made our way around their area I noticed the same color for all of their “halo” models ST, Raptor etc. Some colors just work, Black is a tough one to nail.

Taking a second look at this. Getting over the PRND issue, this is a nice alternative to have added to the comp set. Assuming the AWD is decent, Jeep now has another competitor for the inevitable Wagoneer they seem to be benchmarking against Land Rover. The fuck is FCA up to?
I loved it until I saw PRND.
I’m starting to wonder if we should test these kind of vehicles upstate/ outwest etc more so than in local settings. I want deer etc to be the sample size. especially at various speeds. Autonomy would infer occurrence and then education, why not test with wild variables?
I ended up throwing a thicker tire on my stock 20" ‘14 GC for the same reason and its amazing how different the profile looks. Too bad i’m about to get rid of it.
It’s absurd that govt organizations use this tactic. I think the most recent example I saw locally was the NYPD crushing motorcycles and atvs. God forbid we monetize these things.
I mean, Im sure in person it looks way different, but from the pics its almost like someone used the click and drag feature in photoshop to make the thing. Would make a solid rental though.
I blacked out the other night and signed up for the SVX emails. Worst decision ever.
This intersection looks to be a clusterfuck. Right turn only lane into a Left-Straight-Right. Seems the cop is trying to snag a left further up and he needs to basically cut across from R-L. Don’t support that moron but this is also really poor traffic planning. I bet similar situations happen all the time there.
I’d would be curious to see metrics on dealership upgrades etc over the last 5ish years. GM especially was trimming fat after the reorganization. You have a lot of GMC dealers that have undergone updates and have also become neighbors with the Caddy dealers with shared service centers. This definitely helps justify…
Ah never saw the editors note after the updates. 100% agree with you.
I always liked him. While this is something that I’d like to believe we’d all do, its a nice story to read nonetheless. Funny he thows 2wd shade but doubles down on the 4x4. Dude is as smart man. I hope FCA gives the Fiesta owners a new Jeep.
Great Article and amazing pics! It upsets me that we only really get one higher end build out for this model. The Sequoia has clearly slotted into the former place for this truck and, while I respect that model, I hate that it takes away from what we can have via a bare bones landcruiser here.
A lot of commenters are preaching “nope”. They’re wrong. My family has run parking facilities for the better half of a century and in every case there have been vehicles where people have parked and disappeared (excluding stolen). We have either met the bank in the case of a lien or simply tracked it down to take…
Thanks for that! I had carplay in a GMC I rented and liked having the option to use it at times but this definitely puts me at ease. I have a love hate relationship with the ‘14 overland I have (Blue-Grey on the BLue/Brown interior). Why cant I have a rear glass that opens like the 11-13 models, or adjustable pedals.…
I see a “County tax” figure for 2300.00. Is there not an additional tax? I thought sales tax was 6% down there?
Nailed it, thanks for the laugh.
Interesting, is it possible to add the same type of push button? Say, buy a replacement from toyota and re-label? or do you just carve it out and throw a switch/knob etc in its place?
How many spots for “phantom buttons” aka additional spaces for features that just “aren’t equipped”. Im curious because you literally have maybe under 5 choices to add on to this truck so there really isn’t any excuse for the blank spaces.
When Uconnect pushed the patch after the “Jeep hack fiasco” my system wouldn’t take it and then proceeded to stay in a limp mode of sorts. For almost a month.
