I have known only a very few parents of either gender who were unable to keep their kids fed and in clean diapers, and those people were struggling with drug addiction or serious mental illness. Russell, is this a thinly disguised cry for help?

I switched from Fear to Michael Lewis’ The Fifth Risk and WOW do I recommend it.

When the whole sad/rabid puppies thing happened to the Hugos, I made a point of reading every author they claimed was a “diversity hire.” Without exception, they were fucking fantastic. So I want to thank Vox Day for unintentionally directing me to some of the best science fiction/fantasy authors of the century.

As celebrity apologies go, this is one of the best. He’s missing two parts:

You are doing God’s work.

That sounds like a great job, but honestly, I’m glad my Mom went to concerts with me. (She dragged ME to the Wallets! Thanks, Mom!)

You must be pretty hard on yourself, then.

I am assuming one of them will have to quench a blade by stabbing it through the other one’s heart, settling the whole succession question nicely.

As a Californian who has watched with dismay Kevin McCarthy’s dishonest, sycophantic career in Congress, I find this delicious.

Gee, you seem nice.

We must have nursed at the same cynical bosom, because this thought has also crossed my mind.

If I could still edit my post, I would correct it to add that Mr. Kellyanne left the Republican Party in March 2018, but is now registered “unaffiliated.” (My brain must have only processed the leaving part.)

I am also reading Fear! And I can’t believe how out of date it’s become in the... three months since it was published.

Ok, please do refute me with photos of white people with awesome-looking face tattoos. Every one I have seen has been on the “trying too hard”-to-“oh honey just no” spectrum.

There must have, at some point, been a semblance of a human being inhabiting the husk that is Kellyanne Conway, considering that her Democrat husband hasn’t yet thrown all her belongings to the curb.

Unless your face tattoo has a specific significance in your indigenous culture, please do not get one.

Back in the first Obama Administration, maybe?

THANK YOU.

Damn, it is disconcerting af to have John Boehner agree with me.

Your health insurance might prevent me from catching measles, mumps or meningitis (if you get vaccinated). It might prevent me from catching tuberculosis or hepatitis (if you get diagnosed and treated).
