I do not normally support the death penalty, but am feeling pretty OK with it in this case.

I am surprised that white people cousin culture doesn’t extend up to Pittsburg, because it is definitely in effect two hours south of you. My dad and his family helped raise one of his cousins, and my dad and his brother spent extended time at a different cousins’ houses, usually after having shot or blown up…
The domestic angle appears to have been dropped by the cops; none of the victims were her boyfriend. She was a YouTuber who was angry the company had restricted the audience of some of her videos.
<ref=pedantic rant about how the 1950s were a historic aberration with a nuclear family pattern only made possible by an economy that benefitted from the destruction of Europe’s manufactuing base and a postwar building boom that fully realized the capability of the auto in creating suburbs...>
These aren’t cops, though.
Maybe get a different pseud, then?
Thanks! And apparently I sarcasm-quoted too soon, as Gov. Scott just proposed to take the school capital projects budget and to rededicate it to turning schools into medium security prisons.
I teach, and I have heard people use Philando Castile as a response to the “proposal” to arm the teachers. (I’m using quotes because no way will this get funded.) I’ve also heard people arguing that airport-style security measures and armed faculty would be dangerous for students of color.
A summary is not an explanation? I know I’m going all English teacher on your ass, but if I asked you to write an essay “explaining” a movie, this would get a D.
The trailer made me kind of anxious. I want this to be really good and the trailer was like... “Here’s a cool new show on the Disney Channel!”
Nah, if Rashida had written it, surely there wouldn’t have been so much “Hey, what do you expect from an old ex-alcoholic who was merely trying to school you with the wisdom of the saints.”
I’m sure he just went to www.whatbooksarerequiredinyoursyllabus.com.
The church does some fucked-up shit. But the church is not the people.
I think your problem was with Utahns, not Mormons. The California Mormons I’ve known have been uniformly nice people and the women are not at all abashed. Of course, California Mormons.
I didn’t say women. I said laaaaaaaadiieeeeees.
Wine didn’t used to be 15 percent alcohol and beer didn’t used to be 7 percent alcohol. And ladies didn’t drink hard liquor till the 1960s, about.
People “protecting” me by deporting doctors, parents picking up their kids from school and kids with cerebral palsy? By snatching old ladies off buses because they’ve overstayed their visa to visit their first grandchild? By waiting outside the actual fucking immigration office to arrest people who are trying to work…
I was thinking about the Berlin Wall, but OK, sure, whatever.
