Sorry I missed your comment, a de-coupler is a much better idea than a clutch, I was simply playing off your idea of the S-10 transmission. You may prefer the S-10 due to ownership cost and practicality, I will respect your opinion. I however look from the engineering perspective and see a better chassis, liveable…
Have you ever heard of a flat bed truck? Don't need a neutral gear for that, but yes a tow bar or neutral could be helpful. The problem is how to incorporate a clutch that can handle the torque that comes from an electric motor. But honestly, what is the better CAR, the S-10 or the Tesla?
I'd argue that Tesla does have to deal with the same economic forces that a car company like GM has to deal with. Both companies are trying to sell cars to consumers. Ignoring propulsion methods, cars are chosen by the consumer based on styling, ride, ergonomics, and price. Tesla makes arguably the best car in the EV…
Or their owners don't quite understand EVs because they push them too far or forget to charge them. It is a two way street.
Ok, never heard that explanation. That helps clear that one up. Thanks
Ok then, remove the means of propulsion of each vehicle. Tesla still builds a car far superior to that of a General Motors vehicle. So, back to my failed edit, when am I going to see General Motors build a better car (ignore the drive train, just the suspension, interior, and quality) than Tesla?
Actually, let me make my argument a little more clear.
When am I going to see General Motors, with all its money, man power, and experience, build a far superior car than a bunch of college grads?
Ok I concede. By the way, it's kinda the gif that makes them look malfunctioning. Look them up on youtube.
Ok, good point. As far as making fun of General Motors taking apart a Tesla, I was more pointing out the fact that it is electric and the quality in each vehicle Tesla produce. If what you say is true, a bunch of college grads were able to build and produce am electric car with limited engineering resources…
Gotcha, thanks for the clarification
jcpwn3r, you understood the quality part, but kinda missed why it's so amazing. I think anyone would find it shocking how much engineering and quality is in a Tesla considering the price and minimal resources at Tesla's disposal. That is why it is so groundbreaking as an electric car. The S-class and the 918 are very…
Ok, so I'm a little confused. I understand that clerics often have such rulings, but who exactly do they apply to? Is it only those in the country they rule in, or is across the board?
Any Muslims out there that can clarify this?
I know that on BMW's when the door is locked, you can pull the handle on the inside and it will mechanically unlock. Then, if you pull it again it will open. I always thought this was the best method to make sure your door stayed locked but could be opened quickly in a emergency. Do any other car manufacturers do this?

Here we have the next generation of super light sports cars. First there were the light British sports cars. Then the Japanese came with the Miata and S2000. Now the Germans with the i8 and this super Xl1.
Hey America, you better deliver!
