So you're saying those Russian minders in 'Rocky IV' lied to us about the winter capabilities of the S Class?

That's actually pretty brilliant and I would be able to use it since I have 8.9" of clearance; alas, I have no hose access. Maybe I will share this information with a friend who does in exchange for use of theirs.
James May's Pub Guide (a comic book-style explainer of automotive concepts in Top Gear magazine) had a pretty good breakdown of torque converters. Want to say it was the Dec. issue.
Ding ding ding — meth is the best thing that ever happened to the Aztek.
In which case I hope Lexy is chipped!
I went to a hoity-toity, weekend-long equestrian event in Lexington, Ky., the last week of April. You tend to see a lot of dogs there. It was sad how many times the announcer had to come over the PA and give the license plate of some car with a poor dog locked inside with no windows down, and how times security had to…
When I consider the attitudes towards dogs in public, idiot drivers and the paucity of well-equipped manual car in the U.S. (not to mention our current political climate), the more I think about moving back to Austria or Germany!
Mine, too. As long as it's below 70, I let her tag along on short errand trips. There's a move underway to ban dogs from the outdoor tables at restaurants near my dog park and it's ridiculous. I take my dog to the park first so she is always on empty and I bring a bully stick, etc. to entertain her during my meal.…
Given their demo, seems like it would be a natural fit for Subaru to partner with Gore (as in -tex, not Al). Their fabrics are durable and breathable. They make great cycling and ski gear. I don't *think* it's flammable.

I have plaid faux-GTI seatcovers in my Forester. They were the least repulsive ones on offer at Pepboys after I got my dog, but they've actually grown on me. Actually, I need to replace them soon and I hope I can find another set of plaid ones.
Exactly. I only clicked on the story to confirm whether or not she was from Florida.
I have a manual Premium Forester. When I test-drove it, I was like, "Where the hell is the seat heater buttom?" But I can live with that. I'm just glad to have them (as well as other decent options) in a manual car and I look forward to being able to have ventilated seats some day. Because for a human space heater,…
Backaches are the main reason I turn the bun-warmers on in my Subaru — the ass-toasting is just a secondary benefit in my eyes. Don't know how I ever lived without you, Forester Premium with winter package! (By the way, mine has cloth seats.)
Hee. And since Jeremy dropped a Morris Marina on James' Panda in the most recent DVD, he might be in the market for a new city car. And the Mondeo (the UK Fusion) was their car of the year ("for being all the car you'll ever need") a few years back.
I hear you, wanting a stick + AWD is how I wound up in a Forester, too. I think I'd like the CX-5's gearbox better than Subaru's but ultimately, the Subaru's AWD system is probably more valuable.
True, but I felt like I had more input there than I did up top. Cycling did right by my butt.
An old live-in boyfriend of mine bought 'Men's Health' fairly reguarly. Sometimes, it was the only reading material in the bathroom, so I partook. But let's be honest — it's basically a mash-up of 'Cosmo' and 'Shape' for dudes: stereotypical sex advice, recipes, ab exercises and cutely rewritten press releases for…
The archives of 'Grassroots Motorsports' can be found in a copper bin in my parents' downstairs bathroom.
Agreed. I was giddy when I found TG was available for iPad. It was the first subscription I bought in Newsstand. Yes, the subscription is kinda expensive and the issues tend to be double the file size of all my other magazines, but that's a small price to pay for getting the magazine at all — and on time.
