It is always a weird thing that people frame as a complaint. All the 2d marios from the past 20 years (or more) have been like this. Sounds about right. The main game was easy except the bonus worlds. As someone who games 24/7, these levels were a challenge. SURE, the guys who train hardcore in the kaizo stuff will have no problem but “normal” gamers are going to find a real challenge with the bonus world.

umm, weird that its framed as not too difficult. the main line is very chill, but all the special worlds are obscene. At least one so far took me probably 40-50 lives? And i havent gotten to it yet, but ive heard the finale special stage is just insanely difficult. Did you play the 5 star difficulty courses?

Every review is talking about how hard this game isn’t - I’m curious who you guys think this game is made for. I could be crazy, but it looks a lot like a traditional side-scrolling mario game that my 8 year old can enjoy, and doesn’t really look like dark souls.

If people think the Githyanki in BGIII are ugly, they haven’t seen their original design in the Fiend Folio. They were basically skeletons with yellow skin over them.

It’s really not silly, the original PS5 looked hideous. I was holding out for the slim. I’m glad this is smaller but I still think it looks terrible. But at least it will fit my TV unit. But truly I was hoping for something even smaller than this. Hoping some case mod will come along to shave just a little more off…

Same here. Will wait for the January sales season down here in Colombia to pick one up (Hopefully, there’ll be also a bundle of some sort). I still have to figure out the logistics of putting it in my shelf but it’ll be far easier than the current version

While I agree the size is better I still think the design is just as hideous. That console will never be pretty.

Honestly the battery thing isn’t a big deal. Do I wish it just came with two duracell Rechargable AAs instead? definitely but honestly after having more electronics than I can count have bad batteries that either damaged the hardware or are difficult to replace I actually prefer standard AAs at this point. it’s also…
