It doesn’t take long to look at the sea of thousands of essentially viewerless streams and figure out that real streamers aren’t just gamers playing games they like, they are entertainers. The experience of watching an entertainer play a game is totally different from the experience of playing the game yourself. I

The difference here is that these streamers also act as adverts for these publishers’ videogames, down to the absolutely awful games. These companies pay big bucks to these streamers to play their games sometimes, so publishers stand to gain a lot more than they lose. I also struggle to understand Mr. Hutchinson’s

These are games, you don’t exactly need to pay Hasbro a fee if you stream people playing Dungeons and Dragons or Monopoly.

Right, but why would anybody want that besides people who are already rich?

You pay for personal use. it’s like buying a blue ray then streaming it. I can understand that argument.

Rich people: Actually, people should be giving ME money.

For me, who is switching back to Xbox after going Playstation for the last generation, signing up for Game Pass when I buy the Series X is going to give me the strongest Launch Library of any console I’ve purchased, not even close.

It still needs to be driven home though. This is an experience that, unlike a Dead Cells or Hades, can be messed up by some bad bugs. We’ve been treated to some very smooth Early Access periods lately, but it’s important to remind people that not all games turn out this way.

The tech worked, their business model doesn't

So... ya know hydrophobic particles exist, and that no one is claiming that molecules have brains to be afraid of water, right?

Yes if you went around fat shaming people that would make you fat-phobic. This post is so ignorant I cant tell if you’re purposefully trying to make this bad faith argument or you genuinely dont know better.

I wish the parental controls on the Switch were geared towards sharing of the console between parent and child. For example, I want to lock my kids out of using my profile, and restrict their profiles to certain games.

Honestly I am just so fucking angry at posts like this. At Biden’s age I hope to be curled up by a fire, reading a book and drinking wine, while my grandkids play close by. This man is stepping up to try to save our country, after unimaginable grief, at what is likely the end of his life. I didn’t vote for him in any

WHAT is this bullshit? One of those “withered husks” is our only barrier to a straight-up fascist country that accelerates climate change and puts many of our neighbors and friends at risk of....almost anything. There is no equivalency here. Shitposting like this is harmful.

My internet is godawful but I still think things like this are pretty interesting. The lineup is actually pretty good, honestly.

You don’t need to upgrade it at launch. Just use an external HDD to store the Series X/S games on when you aren’t using them. They can’t launch off of a standard HDD but they can be stored there. Then just hotswap onto the internal drive when you want to play it. Yes it’s an added step if you keep a lot of games, but

You can use a traditional HDD for the Xbox One games too, it’s right there in the article.

Spider-Man: Miles Morales is a PlayStation exclusive???

If anyone is to be blamed for the preorder debacle this morning it’s Amazon, Best Buy, and scalpers. Amazon didn’t put up their preorders until an hour after everywhere else went live. Best Buy, to my knowledge, still hasn’t put theirs up. Everyone was hammering the MS store, not much you could really do about it. At

Well with that kind of perception supposedly widely held you’d think I would’ve been able to preorder an Xbox Series X today, but no, they fucking sold out.
