Yeah, these numbers seem like they might be skewed by non-workers like children and the elderly. US median household income is $70,000. It’s kind of silly to act like working a minimum wage job rockets you ahead of like half the population who doesn’t work because they’re children or retired.

I felt like it started really strong but the quality and my level of caring about the characters or anything that happened dropped quite a bit following the big heist mission fairly early in the game.

It looked cool, but it lacked any depth. Like there’s street food vendors that give it atmosphere, but you can’t interact with them. It was like a nice looking movie set that was there for atmosphere but lacked any kind of interaction to make it feel like a real world. It’s nothing compared to something like Red Dead

Is that all it is? I bring this up about the game often, but it felt pretty mediocre to me. It wasn’t awful, it just wasn’t really good at anything. There’s nothing I can point to and be like “It did that really well.” And despite all these people defending it, I still haven’t heard anything it did really well either.

Heck, Xbox costs less than a decent graphics card.

Looks like it’s still an early build. I would expect the final game to be more polished. It’s not even in early access for 6 more months.

Never playing Tetris is understandable, like never watching Star Wars. Never hearing of Tetris seems unlikely, and pretty similar to claiming you’ve never heard of Star Wars. It’s just one of those ubiquitous pop culture things that it seems hard to believe any adult in 2023 hasn’t heard of it.

The “I don’t even own a TV,” boast was from a time that it was implied you don’t watch TV on any device. It was always a weird boast, but it was from people trying to act like they were so busy or had so much better things to do than watch something on TV. They weren’t saying it in the sense that they watch stuff on

But automod bots are kind of dumb and commonly get both false positives where they block content that should be allowed and miss stuff that should have been removed/blocked. AI Moderation is one place where you could have a bot that was better at detecting things that need moderation without needing an actual human to

It always bothers me seeing a picture of the Virtual Boy with the stand on backwards.

Dude could have easily $100k+ if he’d just read replies to his reddit post. That’s going to be something he’s kicking himself about for a while.

One of the most valuable stamps in the world is an error. An inverted Jenny sold inn 2018 for $1.5 million. https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Inverted_Jenny

I mentioned it in another reply, but it’s way more difficult to share digital Switch games between systems and I have a family and we have multiple Switches. I set a system as my home system and any profile can play a game I purchase digitally on it. On other systems, only my profile can play it and I have to connect

I have a family and we have more than one Switch. Sharing games digitally between them is annoying and doesn’t work very well.

I think this is key to its success. I tried several other Souls games and I’d play them for a bit and get to some really tough boss fight that I’d keep dying on then I’d get frustrated and put it aside. I enjoyed the difficulty to a point, but I didn’t like having to slam my head against the wall over and over against

There’s a trope for this. Basically, it’s not as funny because everyone copied them and what they’re doing isn’t new and fresh anymore.

It’s also unheard of that over two years into a console generation you still can’t just walk into a store and pick up the consoles. Xbox Series X is a little easier to come by but I’ve literally never seen a PS5 on a store shelf.

It was 100% done in a self aware way. They were making fun of the trope. The game had several jokes like that like when Chai first meets 808's owner he goes “You look like a cartoon character!” And it’s a joke because characters in the game literally look like cartoon characters.

There was an excellent sight gag in the Duck Tales reboot where an alien comes to Earth and the main characters take her to the park and they feed ducks and she looks back and forth at both the regular ducks and the anthropomorphic ducks and is completely perplexed.

Yeah, I’m always confused by people claiming Elden Ring doesn’t have replay value. The variety of character builds is plenty to draw me back.
