It comes out the same day as Link’s Awakening. Maybe they’ll do one in a package... please Nintendo?

HDMI output probably has a good bit of internal hardware to support it. Leaving it out meant they could make it smaller and cheaper. And I, for one, want to buy one. I already have a Switch, and I’d been considering getting a second one for when I travel for work. My wife likes to play the Switch too, so I usually…
It worked for me for the same reason: concrete walls. I had a TV in my shop on the back of the house, but it couldn’t get a wifi (AC1900) signal. I bought one of these, popped it in a power outlet on the other side of the concrete wall, and suddenly it can pick up the signal. I do intend to eventually hardwire the…

I really liked Binding of Isaac. However, I thought the art and design seemed unnecessarily offensive like an effort to be edgy. I’m not convinced that it couldn’t have been done and just as enjoyable without all of the weird nudity, violence, and gross outs. The game at it’s core is classic arcade action in an…
I’m surprised no one else is mentioning this. Even if the dance is copyrightable, wouldn’t it belong to NBC rather than Alfonso Ribeiro?
You could easily skip that area entirely, though. Cata basically had two separate leveling tracks. One was started in Vash’jir, the other in Hyjal. Hyjal ->Deepholm -> Uldum -> Twilight Highlands was enough to level a character to the expansion max if you didn’t care about the underwater zones.
I mentioned that at the time it was released. EQ2 came out around the same time and I remember people praising its graphics and being negative about WoW’s cartoony look. I noted that EQ2 lacked a real distinct style and WoW’s more cartoony, cohesive art style made it look better, even on weaker systems. It’s proved…
I agree. However, thinking about it, some of my favorite albums and movies were made before I was born, so it seems fitting that another form of media would also have fans of a particular work who were born after it was created. It’s a nice feeling to know that the things we enjoy today will be enjoyed by future…
The problem is mostly that people who test don’t typically test leveling, especially in that mid-range. Testers (at least those who do it for free because they’re given access) tend to focus on new areas, which means either low-level new race/class content or top level content. The leveling experience gets overlooked,…
I don’t think they’ll be able to please people with vanilla. Either they make it just like it was, in which case there’s a lot of totally broken specs/talents and everything was way more of a hassle than it should be, or they do some kind of partly updated version that ultimately won’t be vanilla.
He did though. He directed the justice department to charge all people crossing the border as criminals. Since the previous policy is to remove kids from those who have criminal records, all the kids are removed now.
The policy was to only separate kids if their parents were charged with crimes. It was to stop people like MS-13 from coming in with kids. However, the Trump administration implemented a policy to charge all people who cross the border as criminals. So, all of the children are now stripped from their parents.
Oh no! That’s terrible! I hope he gets well soon. I’ve always felt a kinship with Mike, due to us both being dads around the same age and me not living far from where he does... in addition to our apparent shared urge to try the latest weird snack foods. I’m not sure what else to say other than he’s my favorite…
Ralph Baer was the Father of Video Games, anyway.
Yep. I’m by no means a Darkest Dungeon expert, I’m just a little ways into it too. I gave up on the PC version a while ago and picked it up again on Switch and I’m kind of addicted now. Once I realized that losing characters isn’t really the end and to just press on, I started to enjoy it more. Heck, losing (even…
I mean you still go “oh no”, especially when you have invested more in a character and you know replacing them will be tricky. However, if you want to not get super frustrated, just accept that a lot of them are going to die or become basically unusable. It’s just part of the game. The constant death and difficulty…
Yes, they’re expendable. You should go in expecting that most of your characters are going to die or go insane. However, a few will bubble up to the top and you’ll get some who survive and you can use to progress. Some of these will also die and go insane. That’s okay. They’re all expendable. The undying aspect of the…
If you were 5-6 hours in, you’re not really starting from scratch, you’ve probably upgraded buildings to make it easier to build a new team. You should view the game more as you’re the team coach rather than a character. Adventurers come and go, but your goal is to build up the town so you can put together a team that…
That’s a great co-op game, and good for playing with a friend/spouse/kid/etc. who isn’t quite a skilled. One player not being able to accomplish something never really hinders you, and since there’s no real punishment for dying and screwing up can actually be fun due to the goofy physics, it’s fun whether you’re good…
It’s not really a “mashup” that’s how they performed it on Bing Crosby’s final Christmas special. Bing died a few weeks after they filmed it and before it ever aired.
