Didn't a few manufacturers add automatic seat belts for the front passengers in order to get around the required Airbag thing for a few models for a while? I thought there was some explanation other than "Hey we're trying to make cool technology!"

I'll second the Rebound. I absolutely loved mine! When I killed the first Rebound I got the 2nd version with the wheels on one side that would spin relative to he rest of the car.
