@PotbellyJoe - wants to build a little turtle fence around his soul: I believe the Aerostar was on the same basic platform/frame as the ranger and the Bronco II, which explains much of its awesomeness

@hawkeye18: I'm not being negative about it - I'm just stating the obvious when it comes to why they said "Top Speed is Irrelevant"
Top Speed is Irrelevant = We cant beat Bugatti/SSC so we'll try to emphasize some other thing so you don't ask us why we're not talking about that all the time anymore...
@JackTrade: I had a Stag driving with me down the highway for a little bit this weekend - had a hardtop and the kid in the backseat was having a great time with dad driving
@PotbellyJoe - wants to build a little turtle fence around his soul: I agree with this - I want a GTV so bad as a classic car to fix up, they are beautiful. But I will probably end up getting something like an old Mini instead.
Funny how Diesel dyno graphs look like gasoline dyno graphs flipped around the wrong way....
@Bret: I cant even tell you if I've ever seen one of these because I'd probably just say, "Hey, a LeBaron, those were crap."
@ausflogan: Yup, and it even mentions in the article that the car is an Audi - so I think the AB readers were on the trail anyway here.
The Mid-90s Chrysler Vans were good vehicles between transmission failures. Our family went through 7! 7! Transmissions in our 88 (I know, not 90s) and 93 vans before the new cab-forward generation started in 97. Our 98 Caravan then went 180k with no major issues.
Dan,
Unimog has a partnership with Smart? Isnt that like a Great Dane and a Chihuahua getting together?
@Jared904: I've also noticed the RX-8 like rotary hood lines (I look at mine quite a lot). Mazda has been working on the 16x (next rotary engine) for quite some time now, lets hope that the new design language launches on a halo car with that engine (be it a new 7, 8, or whatever)
I always thought Tom Swifts sweet jet plane was much cooler than the telescope...
@pauljones: I didnt even try to put my SL2 in, as I also own a RX-8 currently - I figured that would go over better with zee Germans
@EMTtech: I selected Cayman and 911 and it let me un-check Cayenne
I hope they take my "Interested in a Subaru Impreza" as "Interested in a Subaru Impreza WRX STI, not something lame like the 2.5rs Sedan"
@CaptMatt15: Another point is most guys who run small airports around here are REALLY cool people. If you explain to them what you're doing, they're going to try their best to keep everybody safe. Heck the guy who runs the place my Dad's plane is at brings a big-ass red Caddy with Carolina Hurricanes stuff all over…
At NC State, the Aerospace Engineers basically design a scale plane from the ground up as their senior design project. I am a Mechanical Engineer, but my buddy was an Aero and we went out to a local airport (a public one) to see their planes fly.
@Mazarin: Full of WIN, this comment is!
