I have found this part of Judaism to be particularly idiotic. Two main reasons:

I have an cousin who was adopted, but raised in a Jewish home. He went to a Jewish day school, but the orthodox wont count him as Jewish because his mom isn't and his conversion occurred @ a conservative synagogue by an orthodox rabbi.

I

If this was a policy before he became a member then he should have known. However if its a new policy. He not only has a point, but he makes 3 reasonable alternative recommendations, separate time for men only, lower prices or change the policy.

Did you see the response I wrote you earlier. I got caught up in work and was not able to write you back right away. But its a honest response, not a troll. The fact that I didn't immediately reply has nothing to do with anything.

Didn't see your response earlier. It wasn't that I was ignoring it. Yes I am a guy and surprisingly I am also Jewish. But not just a, high holidays, a couple of present for Hanukkah and 1 hour sedar Jew (not that there is anything wrong with that). I'm involved in a number of Tikkun Olam projects both in my community

If you knew the typical Jewish girl, you would have laughed at the comment about the sports or wearing uggs. There are obviously exceptions to the rule (Ally the olympic gymnast is a great athlete) but its a group you to more as doctors or SCOTUS justices than athletes.

Then I don't think you have been around them. Yes there are other adjectives that can describe this group of people, but like it or not it exists. There is clearly a group of people (mainly based in Montgomery county MD , Pikesville and NY) that act a very specific way, will only interact with certain people and have

You are right. I guess the only group you can insult is white males, generally ones that were in a frat. There is nothing wrong with using the term JAP.

You can be offended, but you also don't get to decide what words I want to use. I'm Jewish and think its a great word. In fact I think many of the Jews who have a problem with it do so because it hits too close to home, but that is just my two cents. You are obviously entitled to your own opinion.

This was awesome, read it earlier today. The part about the Jewish girl's comparing Uggs to cowboy boots & the athletic part were soooo dead on. Great job ladies.

Actually according to the BLS report (see the overview) women under 35 make 93% of what men make on average, and part of this can be attributed to not negotiating salaries. So its not a perfect world, but the discrepancy is also not that large (especially if we are using the same rational that Katie uses in her

This article is more slated to rile up Jez readers, but its also somewhat misleading by staying away from key points listed in the BLS report and the analysis that show wage discrimination isn’t as big an issue as it is made out to be here:

Ive seen better fights by relief pitchers running out of the bullpen. That was a shoving/ slap fight.

In a strange twist, it has been announced that the tony awards this year will focus on movies.

From one Cuse fan to another, I agree. He really came off as a tool in this post. Its really funny from an organization who generally has a hate boner for espn.

It could be worse, at least they haven't put up a WNBA attendance banner.

Why does European Soccer have such a massive problem with Racism? I can't think of any modern US event where fans would make coordinated racist chants. Even when we have unspeakable violence (like in the Dodger vs giants attack in the parking lot) it has nothing to do with race. Hell Lazio fans in Italy has a whole

Is there a comment of the year (or month award) on deadspin? If there was, this would have to be a finalist, if not the winner. +1

Good luck with this. Protecting Data leakage, which is basically all that is occurring here, is very complicated. There is tens of millions of dollars invested in apps that all corporations to protect their data, and even these solutions have obvious flaws.

+1 nice post.
