Yup, has there ever been a post on Gizmodo that basically isn't kissing up to apple (or a number of not so nice ways to phrase it) Just curious. The idea of objective journalism (or even balanced analysis) seems to be lost on a lot of the writers.

But yah the turn by turn on iPhone I hear is not close to the same as it is on Android. Although that what I have been told since I have a droid.

Considering its a company whose business model has been to rip off (im sorry, improve) others ideas for the last 30 years, I'm guessing never.

How long until the reverse happens and Google Maps tells Apple to F off. Google Directions , along with the integration into Waze is the best turn by turn voice navigation I have ever used. Its ability to update in real time, and the rerouting as traffic conditions change is incredible.

Your realize that Apple invented HD right?

Now I get what your saying. They may have believed it somewhat, but I think there real goal was to get famous. Not by their real names, but their hacking ones. They stayed true to that as much as they could. Being part of an antisec movement and standing up to the man was a bonus to them, but despite all their

Check out what they did with the CC stored on Sony's servers. Is it possible that there are members who are not just zombies and have accomplished some good. Possibly, there may be some people (although your statements about anonymous being a big group is questionable, most of the professional analysis says its a

The funny thing is you keep talking of the Lulship like it was something of honor and worthy to be defended. This appears to me to be detached from reality. They have exposed personal credit cards, released confidential client information and hurt the general public they are supposed to be defending. They have engaged

Actually there are reports that Sabu was trading credit cards with other hackers. not from a specific site (although that wouldn't make it acceptable) but just in general. When you often play around in the world of identity theft, your a common criminal. He just conducts his criminal activity online. This site

I was very disappointed by this too. Sam is obviously very biased towards Anonymous, at least as it appears in this article. Considering Gawker has been hacked before, you would think a site like Gizmodo would use a little better judgement.

True about the sarcasm, but there are a large number of very ill informed people who keep treating anonymous as some sort of modern robin hood, when they are at best every day career criminals. These people were stealing CC and other information, engaging in illegal activity and ruining lives.

No I am talking about their new DDOS tool. Basically a real malware group changed their version with a trojan. So anyone who downloaded the latest version of their tools basically gave some random group complete access to their machines. Symantec discovered the issue and lots of people now have trojans on their own

Anon has a bigger problem right now. Anyone with a shred of brainpower shouldn't download their software again since its been swapped out with malware and could easily be again in the future.

Wow way to go over the top. I find it hard to believe that anyone would actually protect a bunch of criminals they have never met, to preserve some non-existent online honor. Do you really think people would care about you 5 seconds after you went behind bars?

Its sad when a starred commenter makes the stupidest statement in the whole comment thread. Did you read the part where it said he stole credit cards? I'm amazed at how starry eyed some people are about Anonymous. These are not people "fighting for good" these are common criminals that have gotten a bunch of idiots to

Anyone who calls this guy a traitor just isn't all that bright or is so idealistic that they don't understand the situation. The idea that someone should go to Jail for decade(s) to protect hackers who by almost all sane accounts are criminals stealing credit cards from the average person and selling them is just out

I don't know about everyone else but I was disappointed in the lack of women that described Wilt's oral history.

If the NSA/DISA creates a secure droid with open protocols, in the long run that could help a lot of us out. The amount of malware out their on the droid (and based on reviews of the top toolkits iPhones as well) is growing rather rapidly. Due to battery life concerns (among other ones) most of the anti-virus
