While that is certainly an issue, the US is not the only country with this distracted driving issue. All other countries also have cell phones, what they do not have is the gigantic trucks and SUVs we have.

I was all in up to that point as well.

I live in LA and we do get a lot of dust / dirt / pollen. Also a lot of sand from the the Ocean or from the Desert.

Is the chicken and egg thing. Do consumer shy away from potential low resale colors, or the manufactures have lots full of the colors considered the most popular. And since most Americans are used to buying from existing stock instead of ordering, they just pick whatever is available at the lot.

Exactly. You will not exempt a race car from all those regulations just because you may or may not go to the track. So why do we exempt pickups and SUVs just because they may or may not go off roading.

But the Corvette still needs to meet of the same regulations such as bumper and lights height, safety and emissions regulations just like a Toyota Corolla. SUVs get to ignore all these because they are “off road” vehicles. Corvettes don’t get a pass for the one day a year one may take his to the track.

I don’t know about that. You cannot drive a Formula 1 car on the road even if you use for racing on the weekends, can you? No, you have to transport your race car to the track. Why is not the same for off roading?

Not only that, now they want their cut out of an app, or update that they have absolutely no input on it. At least with the cars themselves, they have them on display for you and can give you test drives. What input do they have on an OTA map update?

I guess the subscription model is for people that can’t do basic math. The longer you keep the car, the more expensive it gets. You will never really pay off the car, even if you pay cash. And when you sell the car, you will be selling a basic model, since the next owner may or may not want to subscribe to those

It takes 1:40 or more to get from DTLA to Rancho Cucamonga on a Friday afternoon. It takes 40 mins to 1 hour to get to LAX, adding security and the flight, you still get to Las Vegas faster. The smaller airports would be faster.

Just like professional team owners here in the US.

Isn’t it the same if you need to pump gas?

I read a book called “everybody lies” about using internet data to map behaviors. Turns out the most racist places ended up being upstate NY and PA.

Plus a $50,000 markup. Because that is what we do.

You cannot buy land certain distance from the coast, or the border. You can buy land anywhere else. Otherwise you will have to do a 99 lease.

While I agree in principle. Most of these reciprocal agreements are not symmetrical. Americans, for example have a much higher purchase power, than for example Portugal, where they are having issues with Americans buying properties and inflating the RE prices fr the locals.

You know there is one big loophole on that, right? In many coastal towns you’ll see that the vast majority of residents are Americans.

Should be ilegal. or heavily taxed.

If memory serves me right, 20% of all real state sales in Los Angeles in 2019 were Chinese investors. You see brand new buildings with hardly anybody living there. No restaurants or business around. This just makes an already unaffordable city more expenssive.

Americans have been doing this for years, even going around the law and finding loopholes. This is not a way to make friends with your new neighbors.
