My first car 1983 VW Jetta (Atlantic in Mexico). 1.7 L, 69 HP at sea level. Considering that Mexico City is about 7,400 ft, the car probably had 60 honest HP. It hat a 3-speed gearbox and factory installed AC. Turning the AC was like dropping an anchor.
