I wonder if we all agree that nobody is paying for anything, other than food for a few weeks / months. Only people in essential jobs will be out working. And receive some “emergency” salary for the risk and labor paid by our taxes. And the rest us get that $1,200 payment. If we only spend on essentials, we may make it.

I got the notification along with my renewal notice. However, they never mentioned that they had a 3 - 4 month backlog for the appointment. So, i had to renew my normal DL online, and then wait 3 moths for the interview. The interview is finally this Friday, so...I’m screwed.

So give the money directly to the people. Once this blows off, the companies will hire them back. The fundamentals of the economy are solid, we just hit a huge speed bump. Maybe just pausing for a few months, may be a solution.

Maybe you haven’t been paying attention. In some places (Most places) is doubling every 3-4 days. That is exponential.

I agree, we should calm the f. down. However, this will certainly not workout for some. For some it will end up badly. We all just hope it is not us or a family member. 

Are you implying the state has control over the price or gasoline other than taxes? If you have read the thread, you'll know by now that the fuel taxes in CA are not much higher than other states.
