I think you are right about the type of road. However, this “center” lane may not be the normal turning lane we have in the cities. I have driven highways where the center lane is the passing lane, and it is only used for that. You do not want to be in than lane longer than you need. Just like when you are passing…

Why not? Have you seen all those landscapers driving 25 year old small Toyota trucks? This things and not that much smaller, they are more fuel efficient and safe. I would buy on in a heartbeat.
It has not more plastic than your average compact car here in the US.
