Schumacher qualified the Jordan in 7th position on his first race. He did not crash, he retired with a clutch problem.

I agree. He was fast, but inconsistent and overly aggressive.

No need to bring your mom here.

Keep repeating it. It may become true.

I have been following F1 since the 70's as well, and I remember the greats coming up the ranks. An sorry, but I do not think Rossi is it.

Not in a million years. Otherwise he would be in F1.

How do you think they ended up there? That’s right they won many championships when the opportunity presented.

You really believe JPM can do it now? Get real. He is one of the best drivers of have seen, but he is past his prime.

I never say he did not. But once in Toleman he showed his talent. Soon after he got picked by Lotus. Rossi did not impressed anybody in F1.

Yet he was under MB before that. And once he bought his way into Jordan, he surprised everybody with subpar equipment. Rossi did not.

I hope he doesn’t waste any time with Manor. Hopefully Haas. But I think he should stay in Indy.

That makes a lot of sense.

Who did I lectured big boy? Prove or shove it.

I agree. Professional racing is not fair at all.

Well, that is one smart argument.

Very much agree. He can be a great asset here.

Yeah, maybe. So do Franchitti. All those guys are great at open wheel, not so at NASCAR. You need to fund the series that suits you. Rosi should stay here, and not try to pay his way into F-1 again.

Because they have more talent than Rosi. So do 90% of the F-1 field.

I agree with most of your post. I hope Haas gives him a chance. He may do better with that cars than with the crap-car he had before. Who knows. If I was him, i may stay in the US and make a ton of money.

Sure, but Rosi has been backed for years. He raced for many years in F-3 and GP2. Somebody had to sponsor him, he did not do it with money from his paper route. He reached a point where the top teams did not give him a serious look, or no new sponsors steped up.
